This hotel is situated directly beside the white sandy beaches of Cancún's hotel district. Isla Mujeres and the Nichupté Lagoon are to be found directly across from the hotel complex. The centre of Cancún is only a 20-minute walk away and buses to and from the city pass in front of the hotel every 10 min. Shopping and entertainment venues are to be found in the near vicinity. Cancún International Airport is a 25-minute drive away.

The hotel has 6 single rooms and 34 double rooms, which are located on 3 storeys and are reachable by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions.     My husband and I have been vacationing at the Maya Caribe/Dos Playas for over 10 years now and we can't praise the staff/the hotels highly enough!We have fallen in love with all things Mexican, in part, thanks to our repeated stays at the Maya Caribe/Dos Playas!All the staff help to make our vacations the best they could possibly be however, Yeing (the Front Desk Manager) is always the stand out person, as nothing is ever too much trouble for her! Her help has been invaluable to us over the years!We are sad however, as we found out that Andreas, who we had known and who had helped us every vacation, ever since our very first vacation at the Maya Caribe/Dos Playas, had sadly passed away. The place won't quite be the same without him.Vacation at the Maya Caribe/Dos Playas for the value for money rooms/packages, return for the location, views, food, drink, staff & the ambience!     Yet another perfect vacation, in no small part thanks to us staying at the Hotel Maya Caribe!As always, all the staff were friendly and hardworking however, the following people deserve a special mention, due to them being an integral part of our vacation, year after year:Yeing - Hotel Manager.The best Hotel Manager ever and an all round beautiful human being!Andreas - Ex Porter, now in charge of all things to do with the hospitality pool towels.Our vacation just wouldn't be the same, if we didn't see the guy who has helped us right from our very first vacation at the Hotel Maya Caribe!Luis Cen - Restaurant Iguanas Supervisor.When Luis Cen is working, we always know that we'll be looked after extra specially well!Additional shout outs go out to Josue (Porter) and Miranda (Reception personnel).     Solid 3 star hotel for unassuming tourist who value good beach, average all inclusive, and not scared of run down but workable facilities for a good price.To enhance your experience I would suggest booking sea view ether Maya Caribe or Dos Playas.
