    Don't stay in this hotel if you enjoy a night cap or have alcoholic duty free as this hotel has a no alcohol policy on the premises or in your room good hotel if your with AA.I think they discriminate between Mexican and westerners I was made to wear a wristband as a 7 days I stayed at this hotel where I saw Mexicans there I didn't have any wristbands on. The girls on the front desk were ok they like to joke between each other in Mexican about the customer but the maids really nice and friendly.It's in a good location but most of the hotels have got to know alcohol policy so if you like a little nightcap before you go to bed don't stay this hotel chain.One more thing, there's a dog barking every single night from almost just after 12:00am till about 4:00am in the morning and it's sometimes constant sometimes it takes a break for half an hour and then he'll continue, The hotel doesn't think to shut the two glass doors at the front to stop the noise from coming in or speaking to the people who own the dog and telling them that we have people that are staying at the hotel and can you move your dogs to the other side of the house, so if you want to get some sleep at night this is not the best place to do it

    Fine... but just fine for what we needed

    Fine for a night or two but don't expect much. Location was easy but don't expect it to be quiet despite being off the main road. Dogs barked and barked and would not stop. We stayed here for two nights so that we could go on a full day tour to Chichen Itza, and be did not need to stay any longer. The breakfast was very odd and the only choice we had was whether we wanted meat in our eggs or not... it would have been much better if it was a buffet or if there were another choice or two... The room was very dated... except for the extremely large TV that was still wrapped in plastic. The bed and pillows were hard and there was no duvet. Would look elsewhere in the future if we return to the area.

    Cheap price, with basic cleaning but needs a good overhaul

    The central location was very convenient, near a large supermarket, shops, restaurants and public transport, but I wouldn't stay again. The beds, surfaces and floors were clean but there were marks on walls, the shower was grungey, and a wall lamp was missing. Not what I would expect of a 4-star hotel.     We stayed here for one night only. We were interested un a budget friendly hotel, that was going to be used only to sleep over and get going the next day. The hotel is situated in a very live area, lots of music, vendors, stores and restaurants. This hotel has 2 pools. Which is great.The rooms were comfortable enough. Bathrooms were equipped with toiletries. We got 2 bath towels. A mini fridge to keep your water cold (mind you no free drinks or snacks). Staff was super friendly (I apologize for the noisy kids).

    Good rooms, very good location, friendly staff and a nice pool! Hotel Kavia has everything we asked for when we stayed In Cancun for two nights starting our adventure in the Yucatán peninsula! Within walking distance to most central things in Cancun!
