Mexican hospitality at its finest

I traveled solo to Isla late February to mid March. This was my 3rd trip staying with them. I wanted this location because I was recovering from a surgery and wanted the central location to restaurants, laundry and shops. They also had a large pool. The 1st 10 days I stayed upstairs overlooking Hildago. A very large room with well lit hallways and friendly staff and guests. The 2nd half of my trip I had moved downstairs poolside. It was a more social atmosphere with easier access to everything. This is when I took a terrible fall at Chedraui. I was badly injured which ended up being a broken Sternum and ribs. The staff called a Doctor for me who did a house call visit 2 different times. He spent over 2 hours with me the first evening. He gave me 2 injections for pain and prescriptions for other meds. He returned the next day to check on me. He was from Dr Salas practice there in town. The cost was more than fair. The care was exceptional. The staff at Almondros treated me like family. It’s a great little hotel right on the Main St., Hidalgo. It has a nice little pool, they keep it pretty clean, and the staff is outstanding. It’s close to the beach, the bars, and plenty of places to eat.

Perfect little budget hotel right next to everything

This little hotel is in perfect walking distance from restaurants, bars, and the beach. As long as you’re not expecting the Hilton, you should be good. Staff was super friendly. I felt comfortable as a female traveling alone staying there. You’re right next to the bar, so it does get a little bit noisy until 12-1 am of in the morning but if you just pretend it’s background music, you can fall asleep it didn’t bug me whatsoever. I even went to the Super Aki store and made my own pico de gallo . There is a fridge, microwave, sink, forks, knives, plates, cups, provided .For a budget travel and location it’s the way to go. I would stay again. I stayed for six nights.

Great budget hotel. AC worked fantastic. Fridge keeps everything cold. Hot showers. We overlooked Hildago without any noise issues. Yes you can hear some noise but didn't keep us up. Pool is nice, close proximity to the beach. Awesome street vendors for food. Ate there every night. Will definitely stay here again. Room cleaned daily.
