  I had a very good experience at Seadust hotel, amazing service and humorous servers. The Lighthouse restaurant was one of our personal favorites, more specifically for the workers Hector and Auceli, they make you feel welcomed and joke around with you. Amazing place to come stay in!

  El trato al huésped no es el mejor. El área de reservaciones no puede resolver ningún problema y te dicen que lo intentes en front desk, y cuando llegas al check-in te dicen que no pueden ayudarte, que no tienen la autoridad para resolverte. Muy pocos restaurantes y poca variedad de comida; además, en el buffet, muy pobre cantidad de comida a elegir. En el área del coffee shop te dicen que tienen helados y otras cosas, y cuando vas a solicitar, no tienen disponibilidad. El personal desconoce los horarios de los shows y la ubicación de algunas cosas de las facilidades. Es un hotel en el que, si no necesitas nada, sobrevives, pero si necesitas algo, vas a encontrar problemas. Todo muy bonito hasta que necesitas algo o el trato del personal. Solo le doy crédito a un mesero de nombre Mauricio. Es la única persona que nos trató superbién durante toda la estadía. Así es como todos los empleados deben tratar a un huésped para que regrese a su hotel y más cuando somos turistas que venimos de otros países. No volvería a quedarme en este hotel. Hace casi 9 años me hospedé en el Oasis Palm y fue excelente. No lo repetí para probar con este hotel cómo me iba, pero definitivamente no vuelvo.The treatment of the guest is not the best. The reservation area cannot solve any problems and they tell you to try it at the front desk, and when you arrive at check-in, they tell you that they cannot help you, that they do not have the authority to solve you. Very few restaurants and little variety of food; in addition, at the buffet, very poor amount of food to choose from. In the coffee shop area, they tell you that they have ice cream and other things, and when you go to request, they do not have availability. The staff does not know the schedules of the shows and the location of some things in the facilities. It's a hotel where, if you don't need anything, you survive, but if you need anything, you'll encounter problems. Everything is very nice until you need something or the treatment of the staff. I only give credit to a waiter named Mauricio. He is the only person who treated us super well throughout the stay. This is how all employees must treat a guest to return to their hotel, especially when we are tourists who come from other countries. I would never stay at this hotel again. Almost nine years ago, I stayed at the Oasis Palm, and it was excellent. I didn't repeat it to try this hotel, but I'm definitely not coming back.

  Let me start by saying this is my first solo trip to Mexico, and I will not be commenting on the kids club, or any children amenities as I did not use them. I booked this resort because despite the controversial reviews I was traveling to Mexico for the first time and looking for a a quiet get away. If you are looking to party or have a lot of adult entertainment this is not the place for you. With that being said let me start with the positives1 - Ice that are used to make drinks all come from a bag that I have seen them open. Meaning I trusted the ice and never felt sick while being here. 2 - The service was honestly 5/5. I did provide tips but in all the restaurants and bars I was met with friendly faces and service to match. 3- The hotel as a whole was clean and safe. I know I came off season but it was never overcrowded and honestly I was never bothered by the kids. sometimes I had my headphones in and other times I just sat and listened to the waves without concern. 4- The location is great, if you get restless like I do the mall is about 5km away (I walked it and felt totally safe as a solo female traveller. 5 - The food overall was good. A mix between Mexican and American style food. not going to lie breakfast was my favourite, and this is coming from someone who does not like breakfast. I do wish for other meals there was more authentic food but thats a personal preference. 6- I was here during the first World Cup game where Mexico played and the atmosphere was amazing! The bar staff was great and we watched the game with employees and guest together! 7 - after my first night I left a note asking for only 7up in my mini fridge (as I don't like Pepsi - and man they filled her up! 8- the Gym - overall a great hotel gym, better than some I have seen in Canada. there is some rust that is clearly from leaks, but felt clean had enough equipment and encouraged a good workout while on vacation. 9 - the beach opens at 6am so you are able to get your sunrise photos! unfortunately the sun sets over the courts which is not great photos Now for the "negative" and again not so negative more some expectations to put into perspective. 1 - the adults only pool was not enforced, although more quite and respected when i was in the pool reading my book parents did try to keep their kids mindful of that - just know it was not enforced 2- My first night I checked in my room was missing the t.v remote which I was admitted to fix due to the bad reviews indicating guest were charged due to things not their fault in the room. On that note - I booked the King size jacuzzi room, and honestly my expectations fell short. The shower was outdated and has mould in it (to the point I wore my flip flops in the shower because it felt gross. As other reviews mentioned the jacuzzi itself had yellow water upon filling up and took me about 25mins of running the water for it to go clear. additionally the air in the room just felt stale. with that being said my room felt and smelt clean after housekeeping came, apart from a nasty floss stick that was behind the toilet and left from before me... I never said anything to see how long it would stay there and I can say upon checkout it is still there... 3- the service on the breach was non existent- I am not sure if this is because I was reading or solo as others around me got drinks and service but I was just forgotten about and never approached. 4- to get a new towel you have to talk to the same employees that sell excursions which can become annoying very quickly. Just a note - not positive or negative - the common areas are really cold... like I was wearing jeans and a sweater while in the lobby bar or at the restaurants so keep that in mind when you pack. Overall this is a clean, friendly and chill resort.

  We had a great experience at this hotel. Great food, environment and drinks. El maguey restaurant was amazing specially Rigoberto who helped us out. He was kind, helpful and friendly, we loved his service and would come back just for him!
