Location

Situated on the coast of the Yucatán peninsula, the hotel is located by one of the world's most picturesque beaches, close to the beautiful white sandy beaches of the Caribbean Sea in the hotel zone, and 10 minutes from the sea and Plaza Kukulkan. Various shopping venues are located about 1 km from the hotel and nightspots are some 25 minutes away by public transport. The bus station is approximately 30 minutes’ drive from the establishment.

Facility

495 suites are located on 18 storeys and can be reached by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The resort has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Meals

Dining facilities include a breakfast room and a bar. Great food and friendly service await guests in 6 air-conditioned restaurants. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. Catering options include full board and all-inclusive. A generous breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch, guests can choose between a buffet, à la carte and a set menu. Dinner options include à la carte and a set menu. Diet meals and vegetarian dishes can be prepared on request.     We stayed for 5 days. Our room was on the 18th floor. Great view, spacious room. We were celebrating two birthdays. They had the rooms decorated and a banner on the door. All the restaurants were great. The Greek one was my favorite. Jorge at the Italian restaurant sang the most amazing birthday song. The entertainment team is great. We love Aisha. The pool maintenance can be better. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

    Serious Privacy and Room Access Concerns

    As a frequent traveler, this is one of the most concerning privacy incidents I have experienced at a hotel.My stay was seriously affected by an incident that I consider incompatible with the standards of privacy and security expected from a property of this category.At approximately 9:20 p.m., two members of the hotel staff entered our room using a hotel-issued key. The room was closed, and at no point was permission granted for them to enter. Although they apparently knocked and announced themselves beforehand, neither my mother nor I heard them, as we were in a different area of the suite.The situation became particularly alarming when my mother heard voices and realized that there were people inside the room we were occupying as guests. She was startled and deeply distressed by the unexpected presence of hotel staff within our private space.Regardless of the staff's intentions, I believe that entering an occupied room without receiving a response or explicit authorization from its occupants constitutes a serious breach of privacy and should not occur under normal circumstances. Guests should be able to trust that their room will remain a secure and private space, particularly during evening hours.In our case, the incident created unnecessary distress and significantly affected our sense of security within the hotel. My mother is an elderly guest with a history of blood pressure issues and anxiety, and the incident left her extremely distressed and unsettled for the rest of the evening.I sincerely hope that management will review its procedures regarding access to occupied guest rooms, as no guest should be surprised by staff entering their room without prior consent, except in the case of a genuine emergency.Unfortunately, this experience overshadowed what should have been a stay defined by comfort, privacy, and respect for guests.

    We came here for our 40th wedding anniversary and had a great time. Decided to come back for our 43rd for a complete chill out and it didn't disappoint. This is a lovely 5 star hotel and the staff are all very friendly and can't do enough to help you. The food was very good and the evening entertainment was good except for Sunday evenings when there was nothing going on. Daytime entertainment was good too....Aisha and Roberto were great. My wife ended up in hospital for 2 days in our second week due to her medical condition......the concierge staff in particular Roberto and Alexandria were great helping me deal with the travel insurance company and the medication that my wife needed when she returned from hospital. All the staff made a big fuss of her when she came back and said that they had missed her, and the restaurants made special meals for her each day as she could only eat bland food. Would definitely love to come back for a third stay!
