3rd honey moon in Cancun

Oasis Smart has been our favourite Hotel when i come to Cancun, accesible from the ADO bus terminal; banks across the street, currency exchange, pharmacy and Chedrahui superstore. The room is big; clean, all my basic needs are covered. Me and my wife are always happy to come back! Newly renovated, the correct price. Congratulations to the Concierge Mario, great job done. The ladies at the reception desk, amazing welcoming service attitude, Wendy, Elian and Michelle… i think some of them are on training; very good! Keeping Cancun as a major vacations destination. See you soon Oasis Smart. Perfect location close to the airport. Great bars within short walk distance 10-15 mins, our flight was delayed and the hotel extended our stay- no problem. Pool bar experience 5*- Ivan makes the best cocktails FYI from ‘midday not 2pm (as advised by other staff! ‘ ) haha *************** Oasis Hotels and Resorts, Director General at Smart Cancun, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Not too bad.

1. Housekeeping was terrible. There was an instruction card saying they will change towels on the floor but keep the towel on the rack. I put the used towel on the floor. They just put the towel on floor back to the hook. Thats so unhygienic.2. The smoke detector kept beeping. I know that’s because the battery needs to be replaced. I called the reception and asked them to send someone to replace it. They just answered they had no other room to change. We were not asking for another room. They can’t listen to english so i used translator app to tel them. Then they said they will send someone to fix it, but noone showed up. 3. We cannot find a postbox to send postcards and ask the reception where we can send postcards. They just told me to go find ourselves and they can do nothing on it. So rude and not helpful.4. Toilet was old and smelly. The tap water in shower had bad odour. 5. The pool was relaxing. Good. 6. Many tours pick up customers here. Convenient but always busy in the lobby. Oasis Hotels and Resorts, Director General at Smart Cancun, responded to this review Dear guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We appreciate your comments, as they help us better understand our guests’ experiences and identify areas where improvements can be made.We regret to learn about the concerns you encountered with housekeeping. Our established procedures are designed to follow hygiene standards, and situations such as the one you describe are reviewed internally to reinforce proper execution of these protocols.Regarding the smoke detector, we apologize for the inconvenience caused by the noise and for the lack of timely follow-up. Maintenance requests are handled according to availability, and your comments have been shared with the corresponding team for review to improve response and communication. We are also sorry that the assistance you received at reception regarding postal services did not meet your expectations. Guest guidance and courteous service are priorities for us, and your feedback has been noted for further evaluation.Concerning the bathroom conditions and water odor, please be assured that the hotel follows maintenance and sanitation procedures; however, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention so it can be reviewed by the appropriate departments. We are pleased to know that you found the pool area relaxing and that the hotel’s location was convenient for tour pickups, even though we understand this can create a busy atmosphere in the lobby at times.Thank you again for sharing your experience. We value your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again and provide a stay more aligned with your expectations.Best regards,Alfredo Garcia, Smart Cancun Director.
