Location

This luxury hotel is located in the leisure district in Cancún and enjoys wonderful views out over the sea. It is just a few minutes walk to the town centre where guests will discover many bars, restaurants and nightlife venues.

Facility

The resort has a lift and features 480 rooms. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Services such as a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The complex has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park (no extra charge). Other services include a 24-hour security service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service, a hairdresser and a coin-operated laundry. To assist guests with their business and communication needs, the business centre offers a fax machine.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. The rooms have a king-size bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a minibar are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a bathtub and a whirlpool bath. A hairdryer and bathrobes are available for daily use. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The resort has smoking rooms.

Sport

Guests can work out or just relax in the outdoor and indoor pools. Kids can splash about in a special swimming area just for them. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. The wide range of activities offered at the resort ensures that there is something new to do every day, including bocce, beach volleyball, volleyball and golf. Guests can enjoy a wide range of indoor sports, including a gym, table tennis, billiards, aerobics and handball. Various wellness options are available at the resort, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a beauty salon, massage treatments, hydrotherapy treatments and a solarium. Activity coordinators organise an entertainment programme for adults and children.

Meals

Dining facilities include a non-smoking restaurant, a café and a bar. All-inclusive can be booked. A continental breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner offer plenty of delicious variety. Alcoholic beverages are available.

    Our vacation at Sun Palace Cancun was a dream.

    The Sun Palace is a wonderful, intimate resort. The staff is outstanding and makes our trips memorable. The following staff went above and beyond: Gerardo- Fuego Restaurant, Able and Hepziba- Italian restaurant, Beatriz,Keyla, and Fernando-spa. Gilberto-spa bookings. Daniel- pool waiter, Steven -night manager of Aurora restaurant, Roberto-guest services, Javier- Aurora breakfast. The nightly entertainment is wonderful and we love the David Magee show.

    The entire entertainment crew was amazing! Jesus, Jonathon, Daniel, and Daniela were the best! Pool snacks and all restaurants were great! Alfredo from Aurora went out of his way to help celebrate our anniversary. Will definitely return!!!     Although my husband and I were happy with the hotel we were not happy when we received our credit card bill. We had bought our package through Costco and had paid in full yet there was an unknown $1200 charge on our Credit card. I have called and emailed the hotel. I've been told someone will look into it and get back to me but I haven't heard back and can't seem to get a response. Very dissapointed with the experience.

    First I have to say the positives. The entertainment staff especially Daniel. The wait staff especially Alfredo so pleasurable. I felt the service was absolutely impeccable, unfortunately the front desk chooses to high pressure you into buying products. When you pay that much to stay at a five-star resort to relax, the last thing you want is to have to wait over an hour and a half to get in your room while you listen to some sales pitch. You definitely don't want to have multiple phone calls a day trying to sell you items. I thought harassed not relaxed. I also I have to say although the food looks amazing, The taste was rather bland except for Fuego was delicious. I also wouldn't recommend ever paying for the room upgrade . The concierge service doesn't really get you anything . Any of the other benefits we had to call and request several times . I didn't feel we had any other VIP benefits by having a black bracelet . The special section that's reserved for you on the beach is right next to every other section . And all of the beach has waiters and waitresses that will come and take your order . When you spend that much money to go on vacation to relax, you don't want to be pressured to buy items. I doubt we will go back.
