Decent if you’re on a budget

First off, we do like to take vacations that are"luxurious" but we also take a lot of low budget trips to go away more often and see new places.This review is a budget review2 things matter most to us1 cleanliness and 2 a poolWe are content with a basic room as long as we have beds and a bathroom and they are clean (a TV is nice but we have devices to watch content on)Cleanliness rating 10Room rating 8 shower ran a little coldRoom amenities basic, beds, AC (there is a ceiling fan, but it doesn't work however it is not needed), TV and ample furniture for two people and 2 end tables by the beds Hotel/condo/VRBO rating 8 simply because there's no elevatorAmenities, free WiFi, pool and a restaurant for breakfast onlyPool rating 6 unfortunately it doesn't get enough sun, and the water is kind of cold (if you're a beach person, this wouldn't apply as much, and the beautiful beaches are on the 90 seconds away)Staff rating 10Restaurant rating/options breakfast only, not the best but many options within walking distanceLocation to things, for the most part all shopping, many restaurants are within a few minutes walk and the beach is one block away There are many excursions nearby and basically every hotel that is beachfront offers, lounges, tables, food, and drinkIf you're looking for budget stay, I would recommend if basic and budget friendly is what you're looking forThis review does not take restaurant food in the considerationThere are plenty of options nearby in driving walking distanceWe drove to the hotel and never once took the car anywhere

Not bad, it looked as if everywhere we went in the Caribbean side a lot of neglect.

A bit neglected but not bad if you’re bringing a furry friend. Please don’t get me wrong, the neglect is everywhere we traveled through from Yucatán to Quintana Roo. We were out alittle over a year and a half ago. Everything was clean and fresh everywhere. Maybe slow season or something.

We stayed here for 2 nights - reserving a standard queen sized room. Our room was high up on the 3rd floor with a balcony that offered a view of the water. The balcony had one extremely weathered stool that looked like you would get splinters if you to used it to sit on. The sliding door for the balcony did not latch shut so someone could easily enter from the balcony of the adjoining room. The room itself was pretty basic with a very firm bed and pillows, a small flat screen TV that showed mostly programming in Spanish but did have CNN in English. The shower head was clogged with sarro (mineral deposits) and the water was tepid at best. There were nice containers of a locally made honey shampoo and nice soaps.The hotel does have a nice and large tiled pool but we didn't use it and a restuarant that is open for breakfast but we ate elsewhere.

Reconsider before booking

I would like to share my experiences.1. I had booked for a Queen or 2 Queen beds. I received a Double and a Single bed. While checking in, an employee told the front desk to change my room since I'm only booking one night.2. The bathroom drainage was poorly done. The shower water flooded the bathroom and the water entered the room.3. The hot/cold shower wasn't working properly. There was only hot shower for a short while and it became cold.

I loved the property, it has a creative, colorful, fun ambience. The staff was great, the location was even better. One block off the beach a little south in the town. It was perfect for being close to everything, but not right in the really busy part. The rooms are simple and clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. A breakfast restaurant is onsite which was convenient. Many other restaurants, stores and other shops are a few steps away. I'll be back for sure.
