  Good hotel for palenque

  Excellent hotel on edge of palenque Town and 10mins from the site. Lovely large pool. Easy check-in. Pool table. Lovely pool side bar area. Rooms were comfy, good air con. Decent enough breakfast.

  Too expensive for the value, no hot water, really noisy. I do not recommend this place. They first showed us a room on the first floor, when they found out we already had a reservation made from Expedia, they took us to a second floor room that had no hot water. You can hear the noises from the people in the pool and trucks from the street. Horrible food from the restaurant. I do not recommend.

  Good base for exploring the Palenque ruins

  17.511784°, -91.990753° Tulija Palenque is close to the ADO bus terminal, restaurants, supermarkets such as Chedraui (next door) and OXXO and it is convenient for travellers going to the Palenque archaeological site (about 9 km away). The pool was much appreciated for relief from the hot weather. The bar offers a variety of drinks. The restaurant cannot compete with local restaurants and is best for breakfast. Some staff members spoke English. The hotel does not have elevators.In December, our room 225 (2F) at the rightmost corner of the hotel was spacious with comfortable double bed and good shower, but no minibar or refrigerator. Air-conditioning and Wi-Fi reception worked well and the room was reasonably clean and maintained. Overlooking the 5a. Avenida Norte Poniente, the street noise was not a problem for us, but might be for rooms at the intersection with busy Palenque-Pakalná Road. Hotel Tulija Palenque is known for its convenient location. It is a good base for exploring the Palenque ruins and is especially suitable for a short stay.

  Modern clean great rooms

  Room was very clean. Single person but had 2 beds in room. Bathroom very clean. Supplied good towels. Soap shampoo, shower cap. Air con worked really well plus had overhead fan. Quit room on 3rd floor considering on main street. Had a pool which was clean and they supplied pool towels. Lounging and sitting area and pool bar.Corridor was blasting hot but rooms cool.Reception very modern. Efficient staff.

  Surprising Stay

  I was bracing myself to be underwhelmed but wanted something more modern after days of ruins and haciendas. The beds were reasonably comfortable, the shower was good, the air conditioning was fantastic and the pool was amazing. It has a zero entry area! Water was warm at first but was refreshing. Had great service of drinks in the pool. Friday night it was packed but Saturday was more calm. There was music on Friday until 11 pm and we had a room alongside the pool on the first floor but I wasn’t bothered. I was also exhausted. TV had loads of channels and CNN in English. Restaurant was quite good. We opted for room service breakfast which was good. The arracheras were great as was a chicken soup. It was a very nice two night stay for us.
