  The service of the best that has touched me, even in much more expensive hotels do not give you the service they have here, surely we come back, everything very clean, very spacious rooms, pool with hot water, everything excellent, breakfast very well, congratulations, the attention we receive should be a standard in all hotels.   I had a reservation for Nov 18 my flight resold my ticket I called Hotel Zar to let them know I might need to cancel because I was not going to arrive that day they said I needed to contact my 3rd party which I did they said I was going to get half of my money back which I was fine with that, in the end the refused so I lost my $50 book in :/ very disappointed :/ because at least they could of told me to come next day I have the proof that what I was saying was the truth I still have all that information with me if needed.

  I had a four day reservation I cut short after only a few hours of being there. My cell phone service was non existent. I was in my room and could not receive any calls, nor use my internet. The hotel's wifi just didn't work. I told them and they tried to fix it, but never could. Being there was like being in a black hole. The place is a glorified motel. There is no restaurant-restaurant. You only get breakfast food in certain hours; after that, there's only a crappy vending machine. The place is in the highway, so you can't walk anywhere (for security reasons and/or because it's too hot). You have to get a cab to go anywhere. This place is only worth it if you need a cheap place to get some sleep.

  The hotel is on the outskirts of Colima on the highway to Guadalajara.The rooms facing the highway may pick up some of the noise from the highway but our room on the opposite side was without highway noise.The room was very clean and modern.There is a pool area that offers shade as well.An Oxxo can be found across the highway.The hotel does not supply ice so the Oxxo is handy for ice/beer/alcohol and snacks.The room for the night was around 50.00 Canadian which was more than fair value.Restaurants are a 50 peso taxi ride away.The only criticisms that I have are the hotels lack of an ice machine and the continental breakfast is limited to coffee and toast.The hotel is a good alternative to downtown Colima where a maze of one way streets makes travel in/out of the core rather difficult.

  Hotel was clean and in a good location right off the main freeway getting to Colima. Staff is nice and pool was nice. They can improve their maintenance of the showers but other than that, good for you money.
