  Broken air conditioning, terrible service, long wait to get a habitable room

  I would not book another stay again with city express plus hotels.In short, the hotel is not worth the price for what you get. The lounge smells like used cooking oil, the restrooms reek of urine, and my room had its A/C system malfunctioning.From the moment we entered our room we were hit with a wave of warm air. Hotter than outside. We figured the A/C had been off for a while so we turned it on and let it do its job. And then the room got hotter. And hotter.The maintenance staff kept us waiting for over 40 minutes to wait for a supposed "system restart" to take effect and let our room's A/C unit start doing its job, but instead the chiller began pouring out scorchingly hot 30-ish degree (Celsius) air. I called the staff once again (through the room phone) and were ignored. Thrice. I had to go to the lobby and talk with the receptionist to actually get help. Then they ignored us for another 10 minutes and their only solution was to restart the A/C system again. As you would expect, it did not work.We had to pack everything up and go back down to the lobby to see how long we'd have to be ignored before we actually got decent service, and as it turns out, all it took was to see all of us sit for more 15 minutes in the lobby before they considered giving us a non-heatstroke-inducing room! Este tipo de situaciones no reflejan los estándares de servicio que buscamos ofrecer a nuestros huéspedes.Sus comentarios han sido compartidos con las áreas de Recepción, Mantenimiento y Ama de Llaves para realizar una revisión detallada y tomar las acciones correctivas necesarias.   Great hotel for the cost and convenience

  We needed a couple days before our next destination and were told to book this hotel. It was very comfortable and clean and the staff was very helpful. I would recommend this hotel. Also, very close to Plaza Del Sol.

  this is an excellent option hotel, very well located , near the Plaza del Sol shopping mall , and buses transportation offices , near the Guadalajara Expo, with many option for dining and having dinner . the hotel is pleasant , good rooms

  Bad customer service experience

  They had some guests from a high school on a field trip. The kids where knocking on th walls, doors and running through the hallway. I called the front desk no one showed up. I went outside and talked to the teenagers and told them to stop. Finally the teacher showed up and had a talk with the students. A few minutes later those kids are calling my room every minute saying stupid things. I went to the lobby and ask to speak to the manager. I explained to him the situation and ask him to give another room in another floor and he stated that he couldn’t give another room due to the fact that the hotel was booked in conclusion the manager didn’t move a finger to put an end to the problem. No discount or anything was offer to make up for his mistake. I personally would never stay in that hotel again and I DO NOT recommend this hotel to anybody. Very bad experience.   Great hotel by Guadalajara Expo

  Great location, good service, good venue. I recommended if you are going to Guadalajara Expo for an event. Many useful services and restaurants around. Very easy to check in and check out. This is the 2nd time I stay at this hotel.
