  Great, affordable beachfront resort-like hotel

  Get away from the frat boys and the girls gone wild. Median age looks like 50 and we loved it. Courteous staff, great rooms with balcony ac, and cable. Really good restaurant. Would've liked a coffee maker but they are never as good as coffee made by someone else anyway. Coffee bar right outside the door, and cabstand at the end of the block. 80 pesos ride into town, or you can walk it. Highly recommend dinner at LA Gaviota which is a 10 minute walk to the left, on the beach.

  The location is fantastic. Pretty good restaurant. Rooms are small. No fridge or even water. No coffee. People get up early and place towels on the loungers. (So annoying)…Room cleaning was fantastic. Good front desk. Little things need to be upgraded.

  Lovely spot right on the beach with lots of loungers. Rooms are very basic but clean. I had a massage with Mura that was fantastic. Highly recommend seeking her out.

  A gem 💎 of a hotel on the beautiful beach of La Ropa 🌴

  If you are wondering where to stay in Zhijuatenejo… look no further than Villa Mexicana in La Ropa!! We are staying here present time and we are loving it here. We got a king ocean front room and it’s clean, nice shower and very comfortable beds! The room is cleaned daily and always has a clean smell. A/C works great. The staff are amazing and restaurant/bar staff work so hard and are so friendly. Beach service too. Food at restaurant is amazing. I had the red snapper on our first night and will be going back tonight for this dish again. Having your breakfast beachfront makes home seem very far away.. in a good way! The infinity pool could definitely be turned down a few degrees but it’s still refreshing. Not many beach venders which is a nice change from other places in Mexico. Silver is very expensive here compared to Cabo and Barra De Navidad. Lots of restaurant choices along beach with amazing food and drinks. Beach massages were roughly $50 Canadian for an hour. Also incredible. Zhijuatenejo town is a quick taxi ride from hotel .. 10 minutes and roughly 7 yo 9 cdn dollars. This is a quaint little hotel. We love it and will definitely be back but be prepared for the towel game (beach loungers) early in the morning. Other than that it’s a gem of a hotel set on the most beautiful, palm tree lined beach .
