March 2nd. Just checked in. Balcony room. Opened the curtain. The beautiful swimming pools on the website are all EMPTY ! !. The website says nothing about this at all. Bogus. Checking out right now. What a way to start our vacation.

Very good hotel, very quiet and relaxing, great breakfast with really good waiters. Room was nice, great views. Only complaint would be the towels need to be available when the pool opens.

Uncomfortable, poor service

Location was good, rooms are fresh and modern however lightbulbs were burnt out in nightlight and make mirror. Only had wifi on the first day. Next 4 days none in the room. Maid service was poor. Missing cream and sugar first day, second day she did not replace the bar of soap for the sink. Toilet had not been cleaned. No ice machines. Had to go to the restaurant to get it. Phones in the room did not work for calls to the front desk or service. Happy hour was only from 2 until 4. No tables and chairs outside by the pool so nowhere for us to gather to play cards for our happy hour at 4 to 6. Could not get the happy hour prices after 4. All 4 pools were shallow. No deep end . No where for us to gather for a night cap because there was no bar and no where for us to gather to even have our own drinks. It was very uncomfortable for the 4 of us. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone

Paradise On The 15th Floor

Stayed two nights at the Double Tree celebrating our wedding anniversary. An over-the-top effort by the staff to help kick things off, very much appreciated. Very spacious and comfortable room with a fabulous ocean view provided a great vantage point to watch the sun go down from the chair set on the balcony. A beautiful five pool terrace has a stairway down to the beach. The kicker was that I brought a laptop to watch the Chiefs game on Netflix by connecting it to the widescreen TV but packed the wrong power cord. Luckily their IT guy had on that fit. All went well on every front.Highly recommend and hope to return someday soon.

Amazing stay in mazatlan

Great stay in mazatlan ! We booked a suite on the 17th floor and the views were amazing. Only downside is the wait times of the elevators during prime check in and check out times. Other than that our stay was amazing ! Plenty of local spots nearby walking distance and the beach/ pool area was easy to access ! Roberto and Geraldine at the front desk were super helpful and accommodating
