Weekend
31 Mar 2018
I decided to choose this hotel based in its price which was cheaper than others nearby. Very clean and close to Paseo Montejo and some restaurant. Breakfast I really don’t recomend to take it. If you come for business this should be a good option. There is no phone in the room, so you cannot comunicate with the frontdesk. 684ecommerce2, Director Comercial at Hotel Zar Merida, responded to this review Dear Mr. RobertoWe appreciate your comments, we are very pleased that Hotel Zar Mérida has met your expectations! Convention weekend
19 Nov 2017
I think this hotel is very clean and the price is very good for the location especially, honestly the only thing I didn't like was the internet was awful and we work online and asked to be close to a modem which was unplugged, oh well, the water took forever to get warm, aside from that, room was nice but paintings were super weird we took one down because it made us uncomfortable. The receptionist was friendly all the staff I dealt with was nice, yet I didn't like we weren't moved to a different room with better internet. 684ecommerce2, Director Comercial at Hotel Zar Merida, responded to this review Dear Miss. AnaWe appreciate your comments, we are very satisfied that Hotel Zar Mérida has met your expectations! Your comments are very important to us and help us improve both the quality of service and facilities, we greatly regret the inconvenience that had with the wifi on the property, which are putting themselves in danger to provide better care.We hope you give us the opportunity to serve you again!

There is room for improvements
07 Jun 2017
The hotel I understand open last September/2016 and still has room for improvements like they have not phones in the rooms for example, if you need information or just ask for an extra towel you need to go down to the reception, the breakfast is nothing like the ads said and makes looks like is a buffet and it is not, every day they serve the same the coffee really bad and they should have more food for international travelers besides the mexican food. The hot water specially in the morning you have to let it run like 20 minutes to get hot and if you guys want to be ecologic correct this is a wasteThe lobby do not have air conditioner or the hallways and with 100 degrees becomes a saunaThe rooms should have refrigerators because the water provided is hot like a teaOver all is very clean and the customer services is very good, the guys at the reception are very helpful 684ecommerce2, Director Comercial at Hotel Zar Merida, responded to this review Dear guestThank you very much for your comments, We deeply regret and apologize for the inconveniences in your stay, we are a practically new property however the type of business hotel that we are gives us the premise to presindir the service of telephone in the room, we know the annoyance That this causes therefore we are seeing the possibility that in future we will have this service. We are currently working on our facilities and quality of service that we offer based specifically on corporate supervision as well as comments from our guests. We hope we get the chance to come back to serve you !!

Awesome Service and Hotel
29 Apr 2017
I stayed at the Hotel Zar for a week before going to Cuba for a week and returning. My room was clean, the shower hot after you let it run for a bit, the air conditioning was great, the WiFi worked fine and there are several good restaurants around including a Starbucks. There are no English channels on the TV but I used the WiFi instead. The hotel is a little ways from the Historic center but I walked there twice so it isn't that far. The Concierge was awesome. I booked a tour with him to Chichen Itza but best of all was that when I went to Cuba he stored my motorcycle for free while I was gone! Can't say enough good about the hotel. The value is awesome. I would definitely go back. 684ecommerce2, Director Comercial at Hotel Zar Merida, responded to this review Dear CustomerWe greatly appreciate your feedback, we are very pleased that Merida Hotel Zar has met its expectations! book on zar web site for best deal and free breakfast. that said the day we tried it , the breakfast was very late 45 min wait. no one else there. bad service. and bad watery coffee. no selection like the web site showed. not done right. disappointing. also shower head plugged only one little stream working. took it down and fixed it. but still poor shower. hot water took literally 15 min for warm water.!! bad service for breakfast shower bad poor, but new hotel and may be just a bad day for them?? , Director Comercial at Hotel Zar Merida, responded to this review Dear guestThank you very much for your comments, we deeply regret and apologize for the inconveniences, it is worth mentioning that the said inconveniences have been resolved.Currently we work in Our facilities and Quality of service that we offer based specifically on a corporate supervision as well as in the comments of our guests. We look forward to seeing you again !!
