Highly recommended - great price and value ratio

Very nice hotel! A fraction of the price we paid at other hotels (that claim to be high end, but are really not, since they skipped maintenance for the last few years). The room was the decently sized. The lovely thing is that everything at this hotel and our room was well maintained, so it looked modern, clean and just nice overall. The bed was very comfortable, the bedding was crispy and had that lovely new feel. The bathroom was very clean too, it was nice to have a shower enclosure that didn't leak water all over the floor. A nice touch was the AC that was installed at the angle above the bathroom door, so it didn't blow cold air straight towards the bed. The location was convenient too, at the end of the main avenue, short walk to walmart if you need anything last minute. Anyway, we loved our stay here! If we are in Merida next time, this is the hotel we'll be staying at! I took the pictures of the room with the curtains closed to avoid the sun glare, it's actually a very bright room.

Ibis Merida needs help !

Stayed at the Ibis Merida this past weekend. Here are the pros and cons:PROS:-location is good and convenient to main areas of town-air conditioning worked well-free parkingCONS:-one stiff old bath towel per person (no face or hand towels at all)-front desk staff that are always glued to computer screen and half the time don't acknowledge the guest-breakfast buffet (a real joke) - no coffee (even after asking 3 times), no butter for bread, no maple syrup for frozen waffles, no chips for the chilaquiles (isn't that the main ingredient ??), bread and pastries wrapped in plastic with no access to box they are in - overall a disaster-hand soap dispenser in bathroom with something in it that was NOT soap. It slid off your hand the minute water touched itI could go on, but it's exhausting. Advice: There is a great Ibis Styles not far away and it may be a few dollars more, but it is definitely worth it.This hotel needs a total makeover and management change !

OK for a short stay. Very basic. No facilities at all. No kettle, fridge or safe in room. Bath towels given to me are shredded. Rooms are small compared to other hotels. The most basic Ibis hotel I have ever stayed in. Location wise quite good. Near McDonald's, Walmart and a few cafes and restaurants.

Solid rooms, but skip the breakfast

The rooms was good, but a small downside was that the rooms lacked usb oulets in the wall. Tried the breakfast buffet once. It was bland, lack of options. You wpuld think they made the few things they had well, but that was not the case. Good thing there is very nise breakfast options close by.

Ridiculous for the price. I just needed some extra nights for Accor Status Retention and there wasn’t any Novotel or above in the city center. Far too expensive. How can a practically 1 star hotel without breakfast, without a fridge, without 1 international channel cost 80$? Half of the bathroom is broken and cracked, other half moldy.Not even a towel for your hands and the room 3x4 meters. [9 x12 foot] It was clean,okay but that’s about it. Take the Hampton Inn at the same price and get even towels and a breakfast. Preposterous. Remember the De Funès movie L’Aile ou la cuisse? Well, this would be a Tricatel Hotel. Total Rip off ! Never again.
