Convenient hotel in Merida
15 Feb 2026
It is a good hotel in a quiet location in a modern suburb of Merida, where many other hotels are located. To reach the center of Merida, however, you will need a taxi as there is no public transportation. The rooms we stayed in were very spacious, with comfortable king sized beds, a spacious bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen, although we did not use it. The breakfast buffet offers a variety of sweet and savory options, balanced to suit all tastes. Recommended.

A hotel to stay and enjoy.

A very quiet and clean hotel located in the North side of Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. Its strategically located behind one of the nicest (if is not the nicest one) malls in the city and across the street from a casino as well. It is also closed by to other hotels with an easy access to the main traffic arteries in the northen part of the city. The hotel itself is extremely clean and neat (it is a Marriott!). The front desk personnel and their customer service skills are all excellent. And so it is the rest of the staff at the hotel, from the ladies who do the rooms to the driver of the hotel bus. Everyone is so respectful and kind that it is worth to mention it.

Nice Two Night Stay
07 Mar 2024
The king size room was very spacious. A good sized kitchenette was a plus.Slept well on the comfortable bedding. The large TV that could pivot for viewing on the living room or on the bedroom side was nice, had to be around a 50-inch screen. Free parking was convenient with many places to shop nearby. Not far away was a Boston’s restaurant that has the best pizza.Booked the hotel to attend a WTA tennis tournament that was moved from February to October but found the hotel to be a good value with free breakfast that had a good selection of food and helped start the day on a good foot.Nice staff and location. Hope to return to catch the tournament one day. Cheapest Marriott property around but for a reason. No consistent hot water on floor 5. The gym was disappointing as the weights were all missing. The taxi the front desk arranged didn't take credit card or provide a receipt which other hotels I've stayed at in Merida have. On the plus side, the location is walking distance to a mall (although with limited good food options) and the rooms are spacious and clean. Doing laundry has been terrible. If the dryers work, about half the time, you have to go to the desk each time to get a token as they only have 2-3 tokens There is only coffee in the morning Breakfast is served cold or lukewarm. The eggs smell like fish. They don’t replenish dish soap. We have been staying for 2 weeks. Fire alarm went off at Midnight and nobody told us what was good on The next day they said maintenance set it off while working on it at midnight. Shuttle van is hit or miss for rides. But the staff is friendly Carin Pool Garcia, Propietario at Residence Inn by Marriott Merida, responded to this review We thank you for taking the time to give us your comments as they are very important to us,because are the reason why we can constantly improve, We are very sorry we were not able to provide you with the quality of service you deserved during your recent stay.I shared your feedback with my team to help them undertand the impact your feedback and actions have on guest perception.Warm regards.
