    Worst hotel EVER . . .

    The worst hotel EVER . . . wanting to take a shower after a long day just to find out there was NO water. It took them more than 4 hours to be restored and the water was dirty!!! Then waking up the next morning by a loud noise caused by air on the water pipes!! The manager offered to give me an extra night as a courtesy for the inconvenience. To my surprise the courtesy night was charged to my credit card at almost 170 USD for just one night!!! After several attempts to reach the manager to fix the over charge, it was impossible to get a response. Watch out, it is a robbery!!!     Back in Mexico City for a short stay! We had better luck with dining! Satoshi and no 20 Cantina both wonderful and close to the hotel! A great surprise with this hotel as soon as we arrived in the lobby with chilled towels and welcome cocktail! Room was very comfortable and clean. Very personalized service. Beautiful boutique hotel with friendly staff at reception. We enjoyed the breakfast. Very well priced! We almost did not go and miss it as Ads we see in the US online are only in Spanish? Very strange. Anyhow we enjoyed the experience and value and will return!     A nice surprise and much improved! Great service in general! Beds were very comfortable and housekeeping doing a great job! Attention is in the details: welcome eucalyptus towels and cocktail! Very very nice… it felt as if everyone enjoyed their jobs and paying attention to the guests! Wish we stayed longer! We will return!!     We requested a reservation for April 20th, and the receptionist at the hotel made the mistake to book it for March 20th. When we ask to rectify the date, the front desk staff was very defensive, and they said that was our fault because we didn't verify the date after the front desk made the reservation. The initial mistake of booking the wrong date is a common error, but the manner in which it was handled—defensiveness and lack of accountability from the staff—exacerbated the situation. The initial error with the reservation date set a negative tone for the visit, which was compounded by the staff's defensive attitude and lack of accountability. The promise of a "free" night, pending corporate approval, did not materialize, adding to the frustration. Furthermore, the ongoing construction disrupted the peace and quiet typically associated with a holiday stay, detracting significantly from the overall experience. The lack of follow-up from management regarding the resolution of the initial booking error is concerning and suggests a breakdown in customer service protocols. The defensive and rude behavior of the staff, as mentioned, is particularly disheartening and not indicative of the hospitality industry's standards. The absence of any gesture to rectify the situation or compensate for the inconvenience caused is disappointing. It is understandable, based on this account, why a return visit to this establishment would not be considered. Future guests may want to take note of these issues when making their accommodation decisions. It is always advisable for travelers to read recent reviews and check for any notices about renovations or construction that could impact their stay.     New Owners Some Changes Not for the Better.

    Hotel under construction and they do not inform you when they reply to your hotels.com reservation. It is REALLY NOISY ! They claim they stop the noise at 6pm, not true. One night at 9:15pm there was still banging with hammers etc. going on. Restaurant in this hotel Used to be really good, not anymore. Outside of breakfast (which is now no longer included in the price and not as good), I would probably not eat here unless there was bad weather outside.
