A VERY GOOD HOTEL IN NOT SUCH A NICE AREA

    rating20 May 2026

The positives regarding this hotel in no particular order are we had a large shower and toilet in our room, the breakfast was varied and fabulous including show cooking, all the staff were very polite and welcoming. The AC in our room was very good, the room also came with toiletries, a TV and a hairdryer, it had a large cupboard to store your clothing, there were tea and coffee facilities, the bed was comfortable, and the hotel was equipped with a swimming pool and a gym even though we used neither. The hotel is very close to two different metro stations in opposite directions. The negatives were that the hotel is situated in not such a nice area and we had a poor window view of the street because of this. The room did not come with a fridge.Overall our stay was a good one and I would recommend this hotel if you don't mind the area in which it stands. Best of Mexico City

    rating04 Dec 2025

Wow. This Holiday inn is getting an unusual five-star review a full 2 days before I check out. I was here for four nights on a long weekend getaway from San Francisco California. Everything about this stay was top quality. Check in was a breeze. The staff could not have been more professional and helpful. The room, room 511, far exceeded expectations. It's a large room. Immaculately clean on check-in and kept clean during my stay. Flawless daily housekeeping. Comfortable bed, good working air conditioning, crystal clear TV, extra seating in the room, functional desk for getting some work done, and even a small balcony. The common spaces in the hotel are wide open, bright, immaculately clean, and well-appointed. While I did not eat at the restaurant, I did enjoy several cups of coffee from the coffee shop. The coffee shop staff could not have been friendlier and more helpful. I didn't swim in the pool but I did sit in the hot tub. Some might complain that it wasn't hot enough, but it was actually perfect for me. It was comfortable for more than 90 minutes, something you would not find in a typical hot tub. Who needs to be boiled alive at a hotel? The water was clean, not overly chlorinated. The pool is a lap pool, and there was a crowd swimming lapse most of the night. But the pool deck is also immaculately clean. I get the impression it might actually be a health club with connection to the hotel. I mentioned room 511, because if you have an opportunity to stay on the 5th floor, and you're interested in the pool, Jim, or hot tub, you can't beat it. From every room door you can see the entrance to the fitness center. A quick and easy walk. As for the neighborhood, it's a nice Mexico City neighborhood. Within a couple of blocks there's a sanborns, and electronics shop, and plenty of other eateries and coffee shops. The El Chapo one line Metro bus station is a 5-minute walk. My only criticism, and this is not unique to this hotel, quite common in Mexico, maintenance and construction workers are more than happy to do heavy construction in common spaces feet away from guests. While taking some Zoom meetings in the lounge area, I had to compete with someone drilling and sawing feet away. If there's any question whether I like this hotel, having been to Mexico City dozens of times and stayed in dozens of different hotels, I've already booked my next trip around my birthday and I'll be back at this holiday in.

Centric, clean, convenient, and amazing staff

    rating02 Oct 2025

Whenever I visit Mexico City I always book a room at this hotel because it is very centric and clean. The staff is amazing and I appreciate the availability of public and private transport. The Metrobus stop is right across the street, however as a single mom I usually prefer to get to my destination through the private taxi services of el senor Oscar. His mini van is always clean and he provides us with waters and even allows us to choose the music we want to listen to. He has taken us on short and long trips and he drives with caution, plus he is always on time. I have recommended him to family and friends and everyone who has hired him has been happy with his services. All in all this hotel has it all, from a beautiful restaurant downstairs, a convenient Starbucks shop in the lobby, a decent gym and amazing bellboys and Mr. Oscar.

Great hotel within easy reach of main attractions

    rating28 Sept 2025

Was a little skeptical about staying after reading reviews. Understand the hotel is a short way outside the tourist area but pricing is often amazing vs Reforma That said it’s right by two of the main fast bus routes and it’s less than 40 cents to take a bus! 25 mins walk to Bellas artes. Shopping very close w a huge mall but better are the real restaurants and great coffee shops within a few blocks Reception was friendly and I was able to get a room early. Modern clean room w a great shower and remodeled bathroom. TV has Netflix and ability to push from your phone Breakfast was very good and much better than most Holiday inns in the U.S. Very good selection of fresh fruits w some exotic types. Carry a couple of local specialties that change daily. A freshly made egg station is also available If you are staying 2-3 days and never visited you have to balance being a short way from the center. If you feel comfortable staying in an area that is much less touristy but still within very easy walking distance of the main attractions I would definitely recommend.

Terrible, pickle and dime mentality. Terrible customer service

    rating15 Sept 2025

Used to visit this hotel all the time. Was very happy with it. I'm an IHG rewards diamond member. This time I wss told by front desk need to make an appointment 24 hours of time to use the jaccuzi so that they can heat it up for you when you come. Really Holiday Inn?? You don't have enough money to keep the jacuzzi warm all day long for your client?? Ridiculous. Everything is nickle and dime now. Seriously thinking of canceling my IHG credit cards.
