    Hotel Off Airport With Good Amenities

    Arrived hotel yesterday morning at 11:00 to check in they have room available we were checkin immediately.Room size is quite good size, all amenities available including slippers. Restaurant located at ground floor but we didn’t try it. If you take Uber from terminal 2 is about 120 MXN.     Amazing Abastos Plaza

    Hotel was excellent. When we walked in it smelled like a breath of fresh air maybe pine. It was clean and it looked like a newly renovated modern hotel. When we opened the door to our executive suite it was so comfortable. nice bed, table and chairs to sit down. Bathroom looked new. Nicely proportioned toilet, sink and a separate shower where there was room to sit and relax. We loved the black tiled floors. amenities were excellent. We were hungry and decided to try the restaurant for dinner. we ordered a green salad, grilled whitefish and chicken soup. Food was fantastic. The cinnamon spice tea was excellent. Unfortunately, our stay was only for one night. But we had a chance to grab a delicious breakfast before we left. Plain omelet was cooked to perfection. We would definitely recommend this hotel. The only minor concern was the area. If you are planning a trip to Mexico City this is the place to stay.

    The hotel is not an expensive one for sure, but it lacks some very basic facilities and services.Because the hotel owners do not wish to pay for a few Muti-lingual staff, unless you are a Spanish speaker, don’t even think about staying here, as no staff, not one, speak any English!The hotel does offer a free breakfast, parking and wifi ( which works if it allows you to connect to it)However, it is located in a less than nice part of the city, especially during the evening. When you see daytime armed guards with machine guns, patrolling inside the local WALMART store, located just across the street, you know, it’s not a great area! But there again, no area in Mexico City is safe. Or pollution free.Lots of minor things add up to this hotel being a big disappointment. Irons that are fixed to the wall. So you have to iron where it is… I guess guests stole the irons? Hot water that is barely tepid or clean. Freezing cold floor tiles, which I am sure is okay in the summer months. Windows that don’t lock (1st Floor) and are not double glazed, so you get the traffic and booming music 24/7Free breakfast is included, but they will try and charge you for this.A centrally located dining area/bar, which has live music almost on a daily basis, and adds to the noise levels inside the rooms.Not worth even $50 a night.

    - Booked this hotel in the internet. Didn't know the distances and believed when they said it was close to the Mexico City airport. Soooo faaar.- The area is a humble neighborhood but very calm place.- Hotel room is very quite.

    My stay at hotel Abastos Plaza was very pleasant and relaxing. Hotel room, restaurant and distance between the city and the airport was excellent. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Staying at this hotel made it easy to visit the historic district, downtown and reach airport on time.
