  Excellent location. Spacious but very boring and simple room. Noise from the street until late. Wifi did not work in the room.

  Terrible place with unpleasant smell.Couldn't stay there.Charged me and wouldn't refund my money. Told I could amend booking for an extra cost.Polite staff but took my money with a smile and pretended they couldn't do anything to refund my money.

  Hostel Amigo Suites is conveniently located near the zocalo/central plaza and the bus stop. Many plazas, places of interest, and restaurants are within walking distance from the hotel. We checked in late at night c/o receptionist Roberto who was very helpful with our request for a late check-out. Frontdesk is open 24 hours. Paulina helped us with our check-out and luggage storage. The receptionists were fluent in speaking English. The room itself and the beddings are comfortable. There are several surfaces to put things on, although it's not the same for points to hang clothes on. Wifi connection is fast. One opportunity area is the strong smell of paint and/or varnish all the way from the reception area and even in the room. It is inconvenient especially for someone like me who has asthma. We had to open our door all the time, to minimize the strong smell.

  We are a group of 9 persons was booking 6 rooms in that hotel on New Year Eve (3 nights). At first we paid double tax. We had a hotel voucher from Boocking.com already including all taxes (we checked it!). But the hotel assured us that we have to pay more. OK. We paid. In the rooms was cold. The water in the shower is almost cold, the bed linens and towels are very threadbare. There were no warm blankets. The toilet wasn't functioning in one of our rooms. We were offered a bucket. We have asked many times to repair toilet or give us another room. Another room was provided only at last night. Two rooms didn't lock inside. The doors and locks are very unreliable. It can be opened with a fingernail. We ordered a taxi (three cars for nine people, wrote all information on a piece of paper and said about it two times - in english and spanish). As a result, only two cars were ordered and they was lost on the way.) We urgently needed to go to the bus station and we ordered the taxi for 9 persons again... so what ??? A "minivan" arrived... but for 7 persons!!!))) Two of us were forced to siting on the floor of the car.All our requests was satisfied somehow... In hope that we will leave soon.   The hotel was mouldy and the doors onto our balcony did not close let alone lock. We went down to reception and asked if we could get a refund as we didn't feel comfortable staying there. The manager was rude and obnoxious and told us she didn't care and we couldn't have a refund. I explained to her that we were entitled to a refund as it was not safe and did not look like the photos online and she said she didn't care. I was offered alternative rooms but these also had similar issues. It such a shame as we had a lovely day at the pyramids with amigo tours but this property is really letting them down.
