    Average Hotel With Good Service

    rating20 Feb 2026

We stayed here 3 nights with our pilgrimage group. Room: spacious but the beds are hard. Only 2 pillows per bed, we asked for 2 more, but they can only gave 1. The water pressure makes a weird sound, I guess when it us used at the same time. We had an issue with the safe and they replaced it. This is the only hotel we stayed that has a refrigerator in the room, we stayed in 4 different hotels. Overall, we had a good stay.

    Great location but cockroaches 🤮

    rating04 Jan 2026

Hotel Casa Blanca is in a great location but it does not redeem the unfriendly staff, low value, and the cockroaches. Yes. cockroaches. It starts at the entrance: Hotel Casa Blanca is filled with people loitering at the entrance, sitting on the steps, waiting for folks. We thought they were guests, but they were not, just people meeting up with others. Then the lobby and check-in: It is dark and dingy and reception staff is not welcoming. Surprisingly, given how they label themselves, the staff does not speak English or other languages. We were also duped to reserve our room through their website, lured by "free late checkout". You can select "free 2 hour late checkout" when booking on their website..BUT.. guess what? They don't actually mean that. When we asked about it, they acted surprised and said... "oh, you have to call us in the morning." And when we did, they said, we can only honor it for one room." So we put all of our luggage in one room and walked out, AND THEN -- and this is the most emblematic thing of this scammy hotel -- 5 minutes before the 2 hours were done we came back to get our luggage, the hotel had disabled the card. Now the rooms: They look so bright and light on the pictures, right? But they are not. We had two very different rooms - which was a bit surprising given that we paid the same amount. One was super small, one was enormous. Now the beds: the beds were supposed to be queen, but they didn't feel like that. And unfortunately, the sheets were scratchy and not the right size for the beds. They had a blanket that was truly awful. Like, it belonged in the trash. And it also was not the right size, it was way too small. The pillows were not comfy either. Urgh, for the price we paid, we expected at least a comfy sleep. That was not had. And then the bathroom. Or the home for the cockroaches, as we call it. Because we did not find one, but two. I am attaching a photo of one of them. Urgh. The other ones appeared later. We did not want to shower. Because of it's location, so close to the Monumento de la Revolucion, it is quite loud and expect the noise level to reflect the activities happening in the neighborhood. We did not visit the pool. We did visit the breakfast buffet and we were disappointed to find it very lacking. I mean... they diluted the juice until it didn't taste like juice. Not even like "agua fresca".. it tasted off. My 8-year old even said.. "the juice is spicy!" The fruit was too ripe. The coffee bad. And the SERVICE... I am so mad at how bad the service was at breakfast. Overall the value and the quality of service was not there at Hotel Casa Blanca. There are so many quality options nearby, and for the price you can do way better. Oh, I almost forgot. When we brought up the cockroaches to the reception staff, and then the manager, they just shrugged. I wasn't surprised, but it made me realize that cockroaches are not an anomaly, but rather, part of what you find at this hotel. Also, that the staff here are not in the business of caring for their customers.

Could be much better if they tried.

    rating20 Oct 2024

We have been at this properties twice beforehand and we have selected it due to it's wonderful location just a block up from the Monument of the Revolution. That would be my reason to recommend this hotel because it is very good in regards to getting around town. We checked in and all went normal as our room was ready and we went up to the room as we checked in late in the afternoon. As I mentioned we have been there twice before but no one mentioned anything along the lines of welcome back. Our room was a family master room but it was not worth the price of the up-grade. The room had a suana but did not really work well, as well as the bathtub and shower that never was more than just lukewarm. My main complaint is with the service at the front desk. No one stood out to help in general or even said hello when we would walk past in the evening or morning but there was one agent by the name Adriana that really was not helpful at all. Every time I requested anything she claimed that I had to be in the room to find a solution as far as fixing the hot water or requesting bathrobes. I actually felt she found pleasure to help minimally as possible. The last straw was when I requested a taxi for my check out and she shared with me that there were no taxi's as there was a prostest and that I had to walk about across the Monument of the Revolution but that she could not help me. I asked the bell attendant for my bags and they took around 20 minutes to get them to me. I asked him again if he could get me a cab but he said that it was not his job and if Adriana could not request it that it would be imposible. So there I was with my eight bags and just one of my daughtes and I crossing the famous monument. At the end we got an Uber and all was good.Final note I would like to congratulate a very hard working housekeeper by the name Osiris that was very pleasant and made sure we had towels and the room was alway clean. In closing I don't belive this property is a total dud, but I do believe that they handle many large groups and do not cater to the regular familes or single room transit visitors. It's a shame but I belive next visit I will try a neighboring property.

Good choice for couple of active days.

    rating09 Oct 2024

My room was small but enough for solo travelers. Pillows and blankets are poor. AC didn't use during my stay. Cleanness is very good. Breakfast is very good. Lot of variety and stuff are so kind and helpful. Walking distance to many attractions

    Restaurant Seibal review

    rating13 Aug 2024

I am a regular visitor in CDMX and even when I am not residing at the Hotel Casa Blanca I regularly enjoy the fine buffet at their hotel restaurant on the first floor called Seibal. The food is always excellent with a good variety that changes every day. The service staff is outstanding, just mentioning a few of the many wonderful employees that go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need during your visit. Signor German, the Maitr’D greets his guests by name and attends to every request. The servers and assistant servers are constantly checking to insure 💯 satisfaction. Toni, Felix and all the others, too many to mention are helping each other to insure one has the best dining experience. Even the cashier lady is occasionally inquiring of ones well being. In conclusion, I believe it’s one of the best breakfast dining choices in Mexico City, right around the corner of the Monumento de la Revolucion.
