  Terrible service; we booked 7 months in advance, only to be made to wait nearly two hours on the day of arrival for them to confirm the reservation made through Booking, only for them to finally tell us that they did not have it yet. Even when I showed them the confirmation of the reservation and payment, they offered us to pay their rate since they had available rooms. My conclusion is that they did not want to honor my reservation so that I would pay more because during this World Cup season, they raised the prices too much.Additionally, when I requested to speak with a manager, the elderly gentleman at the reception, who initially pretended to be the manager, just ignored us and laughed because we were already very angry.   Emergency reservation and terrible service; thanks to Expedia Got the room we paid for!

  Arriving late after some problem we took the hotel on Expedia.Reception would not accept the reservation until I called Expedia help number (most recomendable service!). Then rude and slow treatment, but we got the room.Conclusion: Incompetent and rude staff!

  My room was spacious and clean with a window that opened for outside ventilation. The bathrooms were large and had a lovely tiled shower. There is an onsite restaurant which is necessary because the only drawback is that the neighborhood has no other dining options. However, there is a subway stop within walking distance (about 4 blocks away) which is easy to find and easy to get to.The hotel staff was friendly although they did not speak any English. All in all, I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Lord. Hotel Lord is an exceptional find for the budget conscious visitor. I plan to return and make it my base whenever I am in Mexico City.

  nice room, clean with functional bathroom. Stayed a week at Lord hotel, the location /area of the hotel could be better but bus and metro station are close by. Walking distance to the tourist areas, and renting a bike for the day is a good way to visit downtown. The personnel however is not very helpful for direction or anything else. Must speak a little Spanish to get around.Also, window open as there is no air ventilation, the traffic and commerce around is very noisy during the day.   Had two prepaid nights at this hotel. The service was so bad, had to move out earlier without refund for another day. Clean - yes. Modern -yes, but that all. Water in the shower one second boiling hot, the another-ice cold. Window - if you can call it that - almost not existing. Power outlets almost not existing. To hook up a laptop, you have to put some effort to it. No fridge in the room, no kettle, no coffee maker. No member of the stuff speak any English. Bottled water - be aware - mine was not only opened, but not even full. Restaurant different business, so no bill to room possible. And constantly people yelling outside, so forget about good night sleep. Have no idea, who put 4 stars on their logo, but comparing to other hotels - Lord should have 2.5 at the most. Stay away if you have a choice.
