  Decent location just off Garibaldi Plaza. Fairly unpretentious, 3 star feel but good enough if you’re just using as a bedroom.Breakfast available, but low quality, choice basic and has a canteen feel to it. If you like clearing your own dishes, it’s for you! Very noisy Plaza with Mariachi bands up to 04.30 but we enjoyed the atmosphere. Metro 6 min walk. Bed was uncomfortable.

  Avoid Like The Plague!

  Probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Had the misfortune of being here for two nights. So glad to have left so I can finally get some sleep!The noise from the plaza outside isn't ideal, with partying going on until 6am. Seems that the hotel have odd numbered rooms that expose you to the noise and even numbered ones that don't. Same price of course, and no mention of this before booking. Offering ineffectual foam earplugs really didn't help any.The sweltering heat was an even bigger issue as the room is small and stuffy, and the air-conditioning was broken (reception just shrugged and confirmed it doesn't work!).The stained toilet seat, lack of shower curtain, low water pressure and slowness of cleaning staff to make up the room didn't help matters either.Final moan, the breakfast was dreadful! Cold scrambled eggs, old toast, plus a selection of what looked like leftovers from one of the nearby restaurants. Coffee machine didn't work properly either.Really struggling to find any positives to speak of. I suppose the staff were pleasant enough with their unhelpfulness, and if you love a bit of tacky Mariachi and the sounds of the next door club playing Mexican covers of 80s classics then you're in luck.Personally I won't be back though!   It was such a great experience in this location . Kris and Karla were such a wonderful people very courteous and friendly people. Close to plaza garibaldi where you can enjoy a pleasant visit.   Friendly hotel convenient location

  We have just left the Hotel MX Garibaldi and have had a wonderful holiday, the staff are very helpful and friendly, the rooms are clean and tidy and the price is very reasonable. Breakfast is served from 7 to 10 and usually consists of eggs beans and some different meat, cereal toast and jam. The hotel is has a contact that will arrange bus or private tours to all the local attractions and they were very reasonably priced, on time, friendly and professional The area the hotel is located in is very lively at night with lots of mariachis playing in the square until early in the morning.there’s a fantastic taco shack opposite and a few little bars and restaurants scattered close by. It’s a 20 minute walk in to the new town and about 35 in to Centro. There’s a huge market no more than 5 minutes away where you can buy pretty much anything you can think of with lots of Street food vendors. There’s no air con in the rooms but a large fan is provided and this was more than enough for us to keep the room cool. It is a noisy area and you can hear music from outside but it didn’t interfere with our sleep. I’m giving them 5 stars because they are very inexpensive, friendly and helpful.We had a great stay thanks !
