    Nice hotel with a number of small flaws

    The hotel is nice overall, with quite spacious rooms. The beds are comfortable as well and the staff are friendly. There's a water carafe in the lobby as well as nice seating. The hotel restaurant (above the lobby) has good food, if a bit pricey. Some issues that could use improvement: 1) There are a ton of scratches (not small ones) on the floor. The flooring material is obviously easily scratched by moving the heavy furniture.2) The hotel is on a busy street and, though the windows are pretty good, some road noise can still be heard. The window in my shower was closed, but not tightly (screws needed to be tightened) so that also could have helped. 3) When I arrived, there was no fridge in the place where it should have been. On the upside, when I told the front desk, someone brought one within 10 minutes.4) The beds have only the comforter, and no top sheets or lighter blankets. I had to ask twice before I finally had a sheet sent to my room.5) The HVAC control in the rooms is dysfunctional. You set it for a temperature, but it only stops at that temperature if the fan is on auto. When I had it on low and set it for 21 C at night, I woke in the middle of the night and it was 18 C. This should be an easy fix, or at least should be communicated to guests. 6) The rooms also get incredibly hot during the day. I came back in the evening and it was 30.5 C in my room, I guess because of the sun on the windows during the day. It was just remarkable given that it wasn't nearly that hot outside.     Horrible staff. Receptionist Isabel and manager Claudia are rude and incompetent. They are uneducated in the rules that apply support animals and refused repeatedly to give me the keys to my room after paying, delaying my check-in and creating a rather unwelcoming experience. Like we tried to explain to you on your check-in, you failed to provide us with the correct documentation of your pet as a support animal, and the letter you provided wasn't properly dated nor properly redacted by any standard. Yes, we are indeed a pet friendly hotel, and by being one, we have a set of rules owners must follow when entering the property, rules we explained at your arrival such as signing the liability waiver and paying the guarantee deposit in case of any misfortune during the stay.Respect goes both ways Miss Rios, and yesterday when we were explaining the rules to follow during the stay, you began throwing right at us the documents needed, and like we told you Miss Rios, these must be signed in order to access the room, We were only doing our job and you were very rude,Claudia Ibarrola P.Guest Service

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PLACE TO STAY WHILE VISITING MEXICO.First of all:THANK YOU MS. CLAUDIA IBARROLA, MIGUEL GARCIA and Hotel Staff for going above and beyond by getting my BEATS STUDIO PRO headphones returned to me.I left behind my headphones, contacted the hotel the next day after my trip ended and Housekeeping staff had already turned in the headphones to management. EXCELLENT STAFF INTEGRITY.I coordinated with Mr. Garcia and Ms. Ibarrola to get them back. INCREDIBLE and PROFESSIONAL Customer Service.------------------------------------A LITTLE PERSONAL REVIEW OF THE HOTEL AND LOCATION:This hotel has an excellent staff, dedicated to service and customer security.I reserved the Master Suite and the room is incredibly beautiful with a "million dollar view".The room is surrounded by glass which allows you to appreciate the west side of Mexico City.If you are able to spend a little extra, get the Master Suite.I was able to enjoy one evening a glass of wine with music watching the sun set on the west side from my room.The place is located in a very safe and beautiful part of Mexico.I walked to and from my relatives home which is close to the hotel late at night and it is completely safe, but still keep aware of your surroundings.I would love to return to Mexico again making this hotel my preferred place to stay.Thanks again Ms. Ibarrola and Mr. Garcia for your prompt response and hope to meet you one day if I return to Mexico City.

    I had a terrible experience. When I went to the front desk, I was told I had to pay much more than the amount I had originally booked. I made a complaint, but I never received any response.
