  A luxury hotel in its day but now very tired with bad service

  Pasamos 3 noches aquí con tres habitaciones. Es un hotel de lujo pero ya cansado, y ya no ponen mucha atención sobre su cuidado. Las camas fueron excelentes y comodas, pero la chapa para entrar nuestra habitación jamás funcionó, tuvimos que pedir alguien con el "toque mágico" a manipularla casi cada vez que intentamos entrar. Hubo en escasez de enchufes, se tuve que desconectar el televisor para cargar nuestros dispositivos, el piso tiene daños por agua etc. Había un mezca de experiencias con el personal sobre los tres días. Fueron buenos el hombre con el toque mágico con la chapa y el camarero que nos eseño el toque mágico, y uno de las 3 personas de la recepción con que tratamos. Los del restaurant fueron poco atentos hasta groseros, la primera noche tardo tanto en llevar la comida a nosotros que estuvo fría, la segund noche esperamos un poco más de una hora para nuestra comida y al preguntar ¿qué pasa?, nos recomendieron que salgamos para comer en otro lugar si no quisieramos esperar más. No había nada de disculpas. Al comentarlo a la recepción, tampoco nos ofreciéramos disculpas - decia nada más que una persona se fue en vacaciones. We spent 3 nights here. We rented three rooms. It was once a luxury hotel but it is now very tired and they don't seem to be investing in its upkeep anymore. The beds were comfortable but the lock on our door never worked, we had to get a staff member with the magic touch to open it for us almost every time and even he struggled to get it open too. The breakfast buffet was good and the gym serviceable. Everyone we spoke to said to not venture out at night because it is not safe and we didn't. One morning a neighbor went out of her way to redirect us down a different street fearing for our safety in the broad daylight. There was a single plugin available in our room, we unplugged the TV to charge our devices. Our experiences with staff were mixed. The fellow that opened our door and the housekeeping fellow that taught us the magic touch the morning of our departure and one of the three reception people were excellent. The people in the restaurant were not attentive and rude when under stress. Our food arrived cold the first night (things happen), the second night we waited an hour after ordering (there were two tables occupied when we arrived), when we finally asked when our food would be ready, we were told we could go somewhere else if we didn't want to wait. We ate somewhere else on the third night. There were no apologies offered at any time. The fellow at the front desk took my money for the meal and said only that one of the servers was on holidays. Another annoyance was a door stop in the middle of the floor of the bathroom (see photo), ouch x 4!   Mariana help us a lot to expedite the check in. Generally, all staff are so friendly and helping a lot. Place is clean. Bedrooms are big and clean. Breakfas is included and it is not bad. We really recommend this place and this is the second time we stay here. It is 10 min by car to the airport.   Great experience. Got exactly what I paid for. Comfortable room, good location, good service. Breakfast was simple but tasty.   Room was clean. Staff was friendly and location is close to the airport. Breakfast was included. Overall, it was a really good stay. I communicated with the hotel over WhatsApp before my arrival and I even had a package sent there for an event we were attending while we were there. It was great.
