A decent option for a quick stay in Mexico City

Since we were traveling for the FIFA World Cup 2026, the location was ideal, as it was just around the corner from the public screening area. We had heard that the neighborhood wasn't the safest, but we had no issues at all, as there was a strong police presence around the clock due to the FIFA celebrations.The rooms were comfortable in terms of size. However, the air conditioning in two of the five rooms we booked did not work. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were spacious enough, and overall, the hotel was clean. Noise levels were quite high, but that was expected because of the fan parks and the FIFA festivities.The one negative I want to point out is the breakfast that was included in our package. It was very disappointing. It consisted only of tea or coffee and a plate of cut fruit, and the portion was barely enough for a child. I'm used to having eggs on the breakfast menu, but here they were available only at an additional cost. If you're booking this hotel, I'd recommend choosing the room without breakfast—you'll save some money and likely have a much better breakfast elsewhere.

We stayed at Hotel Plaza Revolucion for 2 nights. The check-in was straight forward, the rooms were clean and we had zero issues. Would definitely stay here again as it was central to a lot of the sights.

Not smoke free

Very clean and calm. Perfect location and service but my only issue is that this is supposed to be a smoke free hotel yet smokers stand in front of the door and all the smoke gets into the hallways and in the rooms. I had a hard time breathing due to this every night. In the mornings when you're eating breakfast you also have to inhale the smoke and can't even enjoy the food.

Just stayed for one night, woke up too late for the free breakfast the next morning! The hotel itself is nice, the lobby is lovely with lemon water and coffee always available. The room is very small but bathroom nice and upgraded. They have a window in the room you can let open for air. The AC unit is extremely noisy and it only cools the area right in front of the bathroom, but somehow doesn’t make it to the actual bedroom which is so tiny so it’s strange it doesn’t circulate lol. Also one big drawback, there is absolutely NO soundproofing. My friend could clearly hear my entire conversation from my room when she was down the hallway! So just be careful with that or talk quietly. Also, the location is ok but nothing like being closer to the zocalo which is my preference. Overall it was a nice hotel but for the price i would probably book at my usual place near the zocalo which has a better AC unit and soundproofing

I stayed for one night at the hotel during the F1 weekend.Most of the hotels increased their rates dramatically during F1, even when I tried to make the booking five months in advance. Thankfully Hotel Plaza Revolucion maintained a reasonable price.The location was very good. It was right off Reforma, and very close to a metro station.The room was basic but functional. The airconditioner was a bit noisy.I think this hotel was perfectly okay for quick layover in CDMX.
