  The two best things about L’Residence Heritage are its location in Polanco and it’s staff. Being located near so many nice restaurants was definitely a bonus. The staff at this hotel was very nice and always responded quickly to our requests. There is nothing else positive to say about this lodging. The rooms are equipped with a small kitchenette. The problem is, of the 2 rooms where we stayed, one room had a one plate and one cup and the other had a bowl, a small plate, and a cup. There were no eating utensils and nothing to cook with. One room’s refrigerator had a huge frost buildup which was melting. While it was nice to have breakfast included, eating it at the dining table in the middle of the lobby was not so pleasant. The temperature for the breakfast location was approximately a chilly 50 degrees F or 10 degrees C. The rooms were cold as well. The lobby was nicely decorated with artwork and chairs holding signs not to sit on them. It would be preferable if the money used to decorate the lobby was used to upgrade the rooms. The mattresses were horrendously uncomfortable. The headboards, while made from lovely carved wood, made it impossible to sit up in the bed to watch TV because it was incredibly uncomfortable to rest your head against protruding carved wood. Speaking of the TV, the first night the TV got stuck on one channel no matter which channel it was changed to. We called to someone to fix it and the security guard/handyman came and was unable to fix it. This room was also very loud due to the extremely loud music coming from a nearby club. The hotel staff granted our request to change rooms but not until the next day when a room became available. The new room’s TV had a similar problem and a different security guard/handyman came to take a look. He ended up changing the router the TV was connected to which solved the problem. This street side room was filled with noise from the road even overnight. While we appreciate the antiquity of the building, this hotel needs extensive renovation to make it suitable for accommodating guests.

  Safe, Clean, Comfortable. It feels like an old Spanish Inn. They actually have a nice elevator so you don't have to use stairs. The room was large. The breakfast was better than I expected.

  On a recommendation from a friend who lives in Mexico City, we booked a very nice junior suite via Hotels.com into L'Heritage Tennyson but, on arrival, they told us that they were full and shipped us off to the Royal Colonial. They charged us the same rate for a much-inferior hotel. One of the staff told us that they do this "all the time".The guy at the front desk was very surly, not helpful at all. The hotel is in a great location but the hotel itself is shabby. On check in, our room literally had no towels, no safe, no toilet paper, no drinking water, no water glasses. We had to beg each day for amenities. When they did arrive, the towels were almost see-through.Complaints to both the hotel and Hotels.com went unheeded. I am very sorry I didn't check Trip Advisor in advance.

  Beautiful hotel in a lovely and amazing part of Polanco district of Mexico City!!

  Hola!, buenas noches! hello to everybody, my name is Sophie and I’m from Moscow ! We’re in Mexico City for vocations and we’ve chosen the Royal Colonial Suites for our family accommodation in Polanco and we’re absolutely happy with the apartments and the place ! First of all, I’d like to mention an exceptional location and interiors of the hotel! We’ve been living in a very Green and quiet area, just 1 minute from the Park of America , it’s charming and nice ! The personnel is very friendly and helpful : many thanks to Chief, Senora Huana ! She serves breakfasts every morning : variety of fresh juices , yogurts , omelettes ( you can ask her to cook for you just fried eggs instead of omelette , for instance), tortilla , sandwiches , sweet bread as well. Coffee is very tasty here. In the afternoon they offer some snacks: apples with yogurt, nuts , sandwiches . Senores Ricardo and Mario - the hotel securities - are always ready to answer your questions and predict every your needs. The’re always were attentive to everything around , even in such quiet and safe place . Senorita Montserrat at the Reception Desk is very friendly and helpful . We’re really enjoying our staying here , in this beautiful district of Mexico City ! Polanco Is very Green, quiet and beautiful ! El Cathedral in the Park of America is amazing! And it takes you just 5 minutes to get the place from the hotel ! Muchas Gracias a todos ustedes para sis amabiludad and hospitalidad! We have a strong feeling that the hotel’s staff has been operating as a big and lovely family . Accordingly , while being here, you feel that it’s a home away of your home !
