This hotel is ready for an update. everything is old and not kept up. From the carpet stains to the baseboard paint peeling, etc.

We loved our time at Camino Real. The facility is lovely, beautiful pool, inviting lobbies, and good service. The breakfast is amazing and well worth the cost. We had a suite with 2 beds and a separate area of kitchenette, sofa, and tv. It was spacious and comfortable. Our only complaint was the shower, which was very slippery and had no grab bars for stability. Also, the shower door didn't close completely, so water went onto the bathroom floor and made it slippery. This is dangerous and should be corrected to avoid any accidents. Other than that, everything was very nice. This hotel does not feel like a true “Camino Real” in terms of cleanliness, maintenance, and amenities. The service is good, and the staff do their best. The overall cost is reasonable; however, the prices at the restaurant are extremely high considering the quality and presentation of the food. The place gives off a general sense of neglect. Disappointing!

This is a generous rating, given especially our arrival experience: no water or glasses in the room. Requested these plus ice. Water bottles arrived, but no glasses or ice; staff said she wasn’t told. Another call brought the glasses but not the ice. A third call and the ice came. Meanwhile were 40 mins in and the room had not cooled off. Maintenance arrived and messed around, got it running but with no temperature control. Our room rate was for the “Club”’which is apparently closed indefinitely, so we had a “free continental breakfast.” Waitress said we could enjoy the full buffet for 30 Pesos each additional. On receiving the bill it was 160 Pesos each extra. Anybody starting to see a pattern?
