Stay elsewhere if you’re planning to take a shower!

There is zero water pressure. Taking a shower was a chore. The hotel is not well maintained. The shower handle fell off when I touched it. The desk lamp was broken and they didn’t fix it for me. The towels were ragged and not replaced when left on the floor. The staff would just rehang them. This was all a big surprise given high guidebook recommendations.

We were excited to stay at La Purificadora, until about 1 hour into our arrival.First, we arrived around 6pm (after a long travel day), so we went to the lobby restaurant for dinner. No one was there, but there were so many BIG mosquitos! We asked the front desk if they had a mosquito ring to keep them away - NO. So I went to our room and got OFF spray. That mitigated that issue. Then, after returning to our room to get ready for a nice sleep, the toilet stopped flushing. We decided to deal with it the next morning. Staff fixed it, it broke again and again and again. Finally on day 3, it was fixed.Another issue was the room AC. It was loud like a train and could not get to a temp to turn off and idle. Instead, it just blew - loudly. So we were either hot / stuffy or had to listen to the loud fan.And then one afternoon, a gentleman unlocked our door - even though were were saying "hola" and almost walked in. We were on our computers working. I sent front desk a message, and they told me that he was doing a room clean inspection. Our "do not disturb" sign was on the door. Not cool.Staff did not seem very experienced. It was just one thing after the other.I would never stay there again. Ever.

Great experience

La Purificadora is a boutique Hotel located adjacent to the Cathedral de San Francisco within an archaeological park like location. Located in a former Ice factory the spaces are open and very inviting. Rooms are comfortable and the beds make for a very good nights sleep. Service is very good and the staff is very attentive. There is a bar and restaurant on site that serve excellent meals. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Puebla.

One of a kind Experience
31 Mar 2024
The food was great, but the customer service was even better. I ate at the restaurant 2 days in a row and I was fortunate to have both Angel (bartender) and Miguel (server). We talked about all sorts of things: tunnels, volcanoes, churches, basketball, football, and of course Philosophy. Next time I’m in Puebla, I’ll be staying here. Fernanda Cajica, Director General at La Purificadora, responded to this review Mr. Mkrepelka82First of all, thank you so much for your lovely feedback. This kind of comment is a real motivator for all our staff and honestly, it makes our job truly enjoyable. I´m very happy to hear you had a wonderful experience with us and that the staff went above and beyond to help you enjoy your stay to the fullest. We hope to have you staying with us soon again, We promise and another amazing experience. SincerelyMaria Fernanda Cajica
