  Right AT the pier.

  It's just a little complicated. Set up your stay, you're met at the door to sign in and get keys. Housekeeping is in a couple of times a week; you have an equipped kitchen, and i believe most units have a balcony. I was lucky enough to have a view of the iconic pier. It's secure, quiet (mostly- it is a busy street) and walking distance to anywhere.

  Pros:Great location (right near the Muertos pier)Great rooftop lounge chairs and dipping pool area (once they shocked the pool)One of the less-expensive alternatives for staying in Zona RomanticaCons:The furniture is not good - the couches are nigh-unusable for any period of time and there's a metal bar in between the cushions (on a two-seat love seat that doesn't appear to recline or fold out into a bed?). Also the bed mattress was quite hard and uncomfortable (so hard it hurt my hip if I slept on my side). Mattress toppers would be helpful here and cost very little.There was only one wall-mounted AC unit and it was in the main living area by the patio door leading outside. The two beds were far from it; one by the front door in an open area, and the primary/master was in a separate room. It was a trick of aerodynamics to try to arrange the fans they had in the room to get cool air to places that need it. This is probably less of a problem in the cooler months, but in October it's pretty warm and so much juggling was occurring.

  Great place for a clean bed and bath! The location is very convenient to the beach, coffee, restaurants and everything you need or want. My space was a second floor studio with a comfy king bed, mini kitchen, GREAT AC and ceiling fan. Outside noise quieted down at a reasonable hour so I got good sleep. Roof top splash pool and space is great. Communications from staff was exceptional. All rooms face a street so a balcony isn’t really necessary.

  MY FAVORITE PLACE TO STAY IN PV 😎🌴

  My favorite hotel in Puerto Vallarta!! I come to PV about 7-8 times per year. I have stayed at Amapas Apartments over 20 times and I absolutely love it!! I always book the 1 bedroom with partial ocean view. The apartment are spacious and I love the layout the bedroom is where you enter off a a quiet courtyard. Then there is a hall with a bathroom that opens up to a kitchen dining are and living area that leads to a balcony with chair overlooking the ocean. The furnishings are nothing luxurious but they are perfect especially for the low prices. The A/C is awesome and the tv has tons on channels in English. The staff is amazing and Jessica and Laszlo are there for anything you need. FYI there is no on site staff so call ahead and they will be there when you arrive. I can’t wait for my next stay in March. The only reason I would stay anywhere else in PV is if Amapas was full. I love it there and the location can’t be beat!!

  Amapas Apartments Puerto Vallarta - Minutes from the Beach and Markets

  Amapas Apartments Puerto Vallarta are perfectly located walking distance to the beach, restaurants, the and quintessential open air markets. The room was equipped with a full size refrigerator, gas stove, safe, efficient air conditioner and plenty of closet space. The check in process has room for improvement. It was unclear how to contact the on-site manager to check in. Currently, there is not a video camera or doorbell to alert the manager that guests have arrived and are waiting on the street to be let in. Once contact had been made, the manager and staff were most accommodating. Again, great location!!!
