  My husband and I came here to celebrate our anniversary. This is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location. Everything is within walking distance. We had an amazing, relaxing couples massage by Raul and Vicky. I highly recommend them! Everyone at the hotel was attentive. The breakfast had vegan options. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean and charming. Zero complaints. Had a memorable stay.   Just finished my stay here and I really did not want to leave!This feels like a secluded nature escape while staying right in the heart of Puerto Vallarta is nearly impossible—but Garlands del Rio nails it.As a woman traveling solo, safety is always my number one priority. This property is located in an incredibly safe, walkable zone where I felt completely secure exploring on my own at any hour.If you are looking for a low key place with an authentic charm - this is where you want to go.My absolute favorite detail? It is positioned right on the river and you can hear the faint, soulful sound of live jazz music drifting across it from the restaurant opposite. It creates an undeniably romantic, cinematic atmosphere that you just can't replicate at a massive corporate resort.Nothing about it screams fancy - but the views and the vibe is not something one can buy with money and they have it!If you want a beautiful, safe, character-rich escape that feels a world away while being steps from everything, this is it. 10/10 recommend - worth every peso!   Nice place to stay on the river.

  Lovely location on the river. Lots of bird watching. Great breakfast! Room was nice, but the toilet was a bit too ‘public’ for us. I need a toilet behind a door, not a partition!
