Location

    Hacienda has a great location, as someone who has never been to Puerto Vallarta, it was so easy to find my way around the area and it helped that the hotel was so easy to find.An issue I had with my room was that it was close to the road so it was rather loud early in the morning and some louder club nights could be heard, however, around the pool area and in other deck space around the building were quiet place to chill. There's some great views from the top patios. There was mild wear and tear in some places but was otherwise clean, and it holds a charm to it and the service from the stave was excellent. Value was decent price for rather last minute trip.

    Rooms are tiny, not very clean (I got covered in bug bites on a 3-night stay) and the noise of the swimming pool and busy traffic on the street goes on 24h a day. There is no elevator, so you have to drag your stuff up 2 narrow flights of stairs - there is no help from the hotel people. Staff is sour to say the least and check-in took ages to complete (pre-booked !). For the price they charge, you'd expect a lot better quality and service.

    Hotel vert noisy. No isolation whatsoever between room and street noise. You can ear trucks, buses and motorcycles all the time. Front neighbourg plays music from 12 to 12. Temperature of the water not consistant. Killed some insects on the floor. Some lights weren’t working. Small place. No room in the bathroom. Good things : price and friendly staff.

    We had a great stay! The staff is helpful, friendly, and always available. The location is convenient to the beach, restaurants, shops, and buses. Our kids were happy with the room because it had three real beds, which meant that they didn't have to share a bed or fight over who got the fold-out couch.

    Authentic Mexican Charm

    The place was well kept and very clean. For 600 pesos we got two queens, a single bed and a bathroom. The hot water didn't always work, but the staff were responsive. It's an older, charming building with great staff. The location was good, too. The beach, stores and authentic restaurants were all close by. Not touristy. If you're easy-going and can accept a little noise from rambunctious kids, you will like it, as we did.
