Guests have a choice of 225 rooms located in a 4-storey main building and 2 auxiliary buildings. The reception desk is open round the clock. The resort was very clean and I was impressed as this was a 50 year old resort. All of the staff were very friendly no exceptions, any concerns were looked after as soon as possible. However, with the covered outdoor buffet, I have a concern about birds walking over the food I am about to eat. The buffet staff did what they could do get them off the food but there were too many birds. One other concern there was no english spoken at the night shows. Not interested in shows, did not know what was going on. To be fair, the only show that had english was the Michael Jackson show, which was very good.

Great Holiday!

It was our first time to PV and we didn’t know what to expect but first impressions were good. We met a lot of great travellers and had some memorable experiences. Staff are all friendly except for one person who I believe is a first aid staff member. He seemed to have rules for some people and not others. Witnessed this several times at the adults only pool. Some people were allowed Yeti cups in the pool, others were not. What was allowed our first week was no longer allowed the second week. When we tried to ask him questions, he dismissed us and walked away. The rest of the staff were all great and we had no issues. Martin at the front of the hotel always went above and beyond for us as we had so many questions having never been to the area. Edgar, Oscar, Guadalupe, David to name a few and so many more that we can't remember the names of them all. There are two things that we didn’t like, one is out of the control of the hotel. There is a nightclub two blocks away and when it is open, you could hear the music in our room until 3-4 in the morning on weekends. Not having a fridge was an inconvenience but it is not a deal breaker for us to return. Food was good and we always found something to eat. The hotel caters to its Mexican clientele and would have been nice if more entertainment was also explained in English. Once the show ends everyone goes to their room. We took a speaker, went to the beach as we are not ones to go to bed early. The room was clean, always hot water and fresh towels everyday. We did not go in the ocean as on our first night saw a crocodile enter the ocean. We are not strong swimmers and were ok with just walking on the beach.

It is nice to be able to have meals by the beach with the beautiful views of the ocean and evening sunset. David, the bartender in the lobby bar goes out of his way to be helpful and make great drinks. An amazing resort!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Tomas who took all our luggage to our room. We saw him everyday as we left the hotel to discover all Puerto Vallarta has to offer and to greet us as we returned. The day we left, he actually remembered that we're returning to Colorado.At the buffet, we had VIP service from Pedro and his partner Aristeo and in the evening from Alfredo. Pedro stood out as the most outstanding server and always remembered what we liked to eat and drink. Las Palmas is lucky to have him working there! It makes a huge difference when someone caters to you as he did. Can't wait to return!
