Not open, Under construction - will not return prepaid monies.

I went there early March and the hotel was totally closed up for major reconstruction. No plumbing, Lobby filled with materials and tools, workers doing tearouts, etc. There was no way they could let me stay.Yet the reservationist - rsvteam.com - have charged me and will not reverse the charges.

    A Hotel close to bankrupcy.

    rating14 Jan 2020

This hotel might have been good 30 Years ago.But when painting falls off the Wall, electric contacts are taped, the Dish Washer removed, no equiment in the cuisinette but a dirty, 1960-modell coffe perculatator. No TV. But WiFi.Tiles looks like 100 years.Doors are plastered. We were out of electricity for more than an hour. Offered no alternive lightning. And where to have your roll of toilet paper? The best is new owners or let todays owners go bankrupcy. Stay away.We were recommended this Hotel by hotels.com.Many years ago, recommended hotels.comBut experiences in the past, tells me:STAY AWAYWe are now using booking.com and vrbo.com when travelling from Norway to North America. (Canada, USA, México).

Stay clear of this place. Beautiful view, but this place has little to offer.

My room had a leak from the sink which by morning was a river. The kitchen was equipped with a sink and one glass. The suite had no microwave, no refrigerator. The shower smelled like a sewer. The wifi only works in the lobby, which was replete with men telling rude jokes and smoking constantly. There was jars of cigarette butts in the lobby. There were piles of laundry in heaps on the floor in the hallway. The staff were really pleasant, but could do little to make this mess of a hotel acceptable.

Probably a good hotel 20 Years ago, but now, stay away!

    rating06 Jun 2018

I decided to ignore all the other reviews and book 3 nights here (June 02-05 2018)... and i regret it now!To be fair, this hotel was probably great ä 20 years ago, or whenever it was built. The only star is for the AMAZING view. But that’s all!I booked 3 weeks ago over Expedia, but when i arrived this afternoon the women at the desk "did not have my reservation".She gave me room 102, which is one floor under the entry level. On this floor you are already out of ranged of the hotel's Wi-Fi!The room is dirty and has an "old water" smell. The kitchen is a joke, why have a kitchen at all if you do not keep it mold and rust free? The bed has stains everywhere, from yellow pillows that have not been washed to blood stains on the sheets... absolutely disgusting!!The ceiling is peeling off and they obviously only paint over it ever now and then. The drapes hanging on the windows have never been cleaned, that’s for sure. The chairs outside have some bird poo on them, but i don't mind it since it is right at the sea... what i do mind however are the body fluid stains on 2 of the 3 chairs...The bathroom window is broken, the glass is just "hanging in there".. There is not warm water.. Good thing that the water is not really cold to begin with... And the inside of the shower is, as the rest not clean... there is old soap rests everywhere, cracks, dirt and mold.I arrived 3 hours ago after a long day on the road and i just booked a room in another hotel for the other 2 nights. Do yourself a favor and do not stay in this "hotel".

    A bittersweet experience

    rating13 Jan 2018

I will start by saying that the price is a bit high for what it offers, although it was New Year's high season, it's clear that the hotel is in desperate need of many, MANY improvements. The lower half of the hotel looks (or is) completely abandoned. Of course, it has a very good view of the sea, I do hope they improve, for it has potential to become a charming retreat. As for the attention, it's rather poor. At night and in the mornings there is a person who apparently has no idea of the operation of the hotel, nor of basic things like charging for the room; I did an early check in and was assigned a room that literally seemed to be under construction: uninstalled ceiling lamps, terribly dusty, no closet, dirty sheets, no furniture - I even came across rodent stools; I mean, there wasn't even a number to mark the room. I was ready to ask for a refund and leave the hotel when it was explained to me that the person who had attended me was not familiar with the operation of the hotel, so I was changed to a much nicer room (which was the one I was supposed to be assigned in the first place) with a spectacular view of the ocean and all the basic amenities without extra charge.I will start by saying that the price is a bit high for what it offers, although it was New Year's high season, it's clear that the hotel is in desperate need of many, MANY improvements. The lower half of the hotel looks (or is) completely abandoned. On one hand it is extremely remote from Vallarta's downtown (about a 40 minutes bus ride), there's not much to do or see around, and the mobility is quite limited, however, this means being in a quieter area and away from the hustle and bustle, especially in the case of the high season. So it depends a lot on what the guest looks for when choosing a hotel. In summary, I wouldn't say it was the worst experience of my life, but neither was the best one. It definitely would not be my first choice. And I've my doubts as to whether I'd come back or not.
