  Sea Garden Hotel in Nuevo Vallarta - amazing staff

  This is a revision to a previous post (I needed to include more staff names). I am back in California after a week at the Sea Garden and 5 days at the Mayan Palace. The Sea Garden is one of my favorite Vidanta properties. We have been coming for 15 years. The staff is excellent and always friendly. Obviously, part of their training is customer service and support, but they go beyond in so many ways. Beginning with the Valets/Bell Staff and Front Desk to the Housekeepers, Pool Bar staff, and Joy Squad, the experience is first class. And, the Landscapers work their butts off to keep the grounds immaculate. Security watches over everything in the hot sun when the pool and beach are full. Not an easy job. I want to point out that Sea Garden employees have 6-day shifts. Definitely a hard-working staff. I want to give a special shout-out to Estafania (Fanny) from the Joy Squad. She is great. My mom, who is 88 years old, loves her so much. Karen, at the front desk, is a pleasure to work with. I also want to include Led Sy, Edgard, Joshua, Veronica, Carolina, Marisol and Zulay at the Front Desk. Zulay is the youngest member of the staff, but already she is very professional. I enjoy having conversations with them. Armando, the night manager on duty, is truly customer-oriented and a friend. The Pool Bar staff deserves a lot of credit, including Alberto, Francisco, and David. However, the accommodations and facilities need an update. During this stay, the pool bar's marble/stone trim was broken off, and I found a big chunk in the pool. I reported it to the staff. Hopefully, it will be repaired. The next day, I went to the bathroom next to the restaurant, and the urinal leaked onto the floor while I was using it. The curtain in my room needed to be replaced because the lining on the window side had melted and stuck together. The air conditioning in my mom’s room did not work properly, and it took many attempts before it worked somewhat better. I am pointing out things because I feel the Vidanta company does not consider the Sea Garden as “important” as the other properties. In my opinion, it is the "best" Nuevo Vallarta property because of its easy access to restaurants, buses/taxis. The dining room has a great location, but it needs some TLC and promotion. The pool area could use a few more umbrellas. On a positive note, the beach doesn't have as much garbage as it did near the river in November. I took some photos and posted them in a previous review. It was terrible. There should be a responsibility on the part of Vidanta hotels and the condos on this stretch of beach to do whatever it takes to pick up and prevent garbage from the river from entering Banderas Bay. Another plus is that the performers and staff from Cirque de Soleil (Ludo) are staying at the Sea Garden. Sometimes, you get a chance to talk with them. That's kinda sweet. I have been asking for a gym at the Sea Garden for many years, and finally, there is one. And, only available to the Cirque performers. Good for them.I am a big fan of the Sea Garden. It is a gem of a place. Vidanta has the money to look after this property. Just ask all the timeshare owners. I hope there will be more attention to detail in the guest rooms.   SEA GARDEN REVIEW I’m at the last day of ten weeks of my Sea garden vacation in Nuevo Vallarta, I’ll be back again next year if everything works out. It was delightful ❣️ The activity staff here is the greatest Stephany, Iszac, Immillio, Alondra and Jackie kept my husband and I and all our friends here busy and happy. We played bingo, Mex. Lotteria , Aerobics, Botchy ball and Cards , Texas Holdem and Black Jack. The resort is clean and well kept up. The gardeners and pool maintainers were vigilant.The restaurant here Roomba is great great food great people waiting on us. Clemente, Sonia, Annie, an Jessica and a couple other ones I didn’t get their names, but they’re all great waiters and kept our tummies full. At the pool bar, we had a great bartender, David and all our waiters: Francisco, Alberto, were great❣️ All the security staff the beach and around the pool were vigilant, and made us feel safe, even in the turmoil that happened while we we here. The towel guys kept our towels, clean and readily available to us. The people at the desk were very helpful ay time we needed them. All the bell hops and the security at the front of the resort were very friendly and helpful with anything you needed.
