Location

This hotel is enjoys a central location in the exclusive marina of Vallarta and is situated directly on the beach. Nearby guests will find a beautiful promenade and boat moorings, as well as shops, restaurants, bars, art galleries and a buzzing nightlife scene. The hotel is located 5 min from the international airport and 10 min from the town centre of Puerto Vallarta.

Facility

The property includes 62 villas/houses as well as 64 junior suites. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. 2 lifts and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Further services and facilities include a car hire service, medical assistance, room service, a laundry service, a hairdresser and a hotel shuttle bus. Rooms

Air conditioning and a fan ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the garden view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed, a king-size bed or a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a desk are also available. The kitchenette comes with a refrigerator and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

Sport

Whether in need of rest and relaxation or more activity, guests can swim a few lengths of one of the 5 outdoor pools, while children have a special swimming area just for them. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the sun terrace. There is a poolside snack bar as well. The resort offers outdoor sports, including tennis, beach volleyball, volleyball and basketball. A number of sports are available, including water sports such as snorkelling and aquafit. For a fee, guests can also enjoy jet skiing, banana boat rides, canoeing, catamaraning and diving. Sport and leisure facilities at the resort include a gym, table tennis and aerobics. Various wellness options are available at the complex, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a beauty salon and massage treatments. An entertainment programme for adults and children ensures that guests have plenty to see and do during their stay.

Meals

The dining area includes 2 restaurants and a bar. All-inclusive can be booked. A generous breakfast buffet gives guests many delicious reasons to get out of bed in the morning. At lunch and dinner, there are plenty of tempting options at the buffet or à la carte. Dinner is also served as a set menu. Vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. The resort also offers snacks. For guests, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included.

    I really think the highly rated reviews are from employees. Some names definitely sound familiar. This is a 4 star hotel? That's a joke. This was a 1 star experience for us. It states it's all-inclusive, but this is the most restrictive "all-inclusive" I have stayed at.Long check-in lines, only to be told room was not ready.Paid upfront, was given wrist bands, and told to explore the resort and eat food, and to comeback after 3pm.Went to the villa side, to check out the beach and area. Decided to eat at Caracol Snack bar, service was ok, food was ok. We head back to the main lobby to check on the status of the room around 3pm, only to be told it's not ready, come back in 20 minutes. The line gets long and it takes so long already, so this was extremely frustrating.When we did finally get our room, we head in to find no microwave, and our refrigerator unplugged. For the price we paid for the villa, this was very underwhelming to see the condition of the room. No microwave, no coffee pot. The villa was supposed to come fully furnished. When you ask the hotel staff about the missing equipment, they just angrily reply that they don't have any extra equipment.The bellboy brought up our luggage and asked if we needed anything. We immediately noticed we were missing hand towels, and bath towels and the light in the restroom was out. We were only given 1 bath towel! He stepped in and saw that we were missing towels, and he radioed the team for towels and for the light issue. They responded that towels wouldn't be ready until after 5:30pm. It was around 4pm at this point. He gave them our room number and stated they would be delivered and that someone would fix the light. We heard the door bell ring about 2 or 3 times, but each time we opened the door, no one was there.Later that evening, we went to the main lobby area. The same bell boy saw us and asked if we got taken care of. We said no. He called again on the radio and they stated that they rang the doorbell, and no one answered. I told him that each time we went to open the door, no one was there. He then stated that they only have 10 seconds to wait, as it's very busy. What nonsense is that? We got here Saturday, and did not get the light fixed until Monday after notifying the front desk again.Breakfast at the buffet the next morning was ridiculous. Long wait lines, no shade and we were burning up, sweating, and horrible service from the staff who was clearly overwhelmed. It's an outdoor open area where birds are flying and pooping everywhere, and eating off of people's plates when left unattended. I even witnessed birds picking at food from the buffet, where nothing was done from the staff - they just shooed them away and wiped the area. How is that sanitary? There really needs to be netting everywhere or rebuilt to be indoors. Same for the Snack bar. There are birds everywhere picking at food.Buffet at night, past 11:30pm was disappointing. It was not a Buffet at all- we were told all that was available was burgers and hot dogs. There was no buffet, they brought the food out to us. You can't even take food back to your room- there is no room service.Beach towels - ridiculous not freely available. You have to turn in a card to get a towel, and return the towel to get your card back. If you don't get the card back, they won't allow you to check out.Food policy - ridiculous that you aren't able to eat in the pool area or that you can't bring food back to your room. What's the point of a microwave in the villa?No hospitality from majority of workers, they always seem bothered when you ask for something.Staff seem to be uneducated on the issues of the hotel. You would ask one person one thing, and then it was a different story from another person.Management is a joke. They do nothing to help you.Overall, this was the most horrible experience I've ever had staying at an "all-inclusive". I would NEVER return here.     Wonderful Surprise!

    We booked our vacation last minute and the Vamar had just popped up as having a sale. The reviews showed it had a good location and good rating for cleanliness. Those were our main criteria, as we knew you are taking a risk with these last minute vacation sales. Our expectations were 'cautious, but looking for sand and warmth.lol'So we were so pleasantly surprised by what a gem the Vamar turned out to be. The location is superb. With views of the marina and the marina boardwalk entrance literally next door. A short walk to the other side of the resort, is a lovely private beach. This resort has a great setup where you can be right next to the pools and also looking over the beach at the same time. But be careful if you decide to sit under a tree rather than under an umbrella, as we did get pooped on by an iguana one day! Lol. The food was great. The a la carte Italian, Mexican and Seafood restraunts provided us with a delicious variety of foods with friendly service. The buffet was... a buffet...lol. The food was good and the view was wonderful. We attended three entertainment nights. We thought the Ranchero Night was particularly enjoyable. The set up for entertainment was much smaller and intimate than other resorts, which we thought was great.Our rooms. The beds were comfortable. The cleaners did a great job. The AC worked. We paid extra for a balcony which was definately worth it. The room decore and appliances are dated, but that was SO far from important to us. Front desk staff was friendly and responsive. Only warning I would give is that if someone has mobility issues, there is a lot of cobblestone and sometimes broken paving stones and steep ramps. So if that is an issue for you, please take that into account. Can't wait to come back!     Over priced hotel who cant even provide water.

    I spent over $3200 dollars to stay at this resort for 2 of us. They are a hit and miss on getting our rooms cleaned. When they do clean the room they leave 2 bottles of water (sometimes) Today we spent all day out, didn't eat a single meal here and when we got back tonight our room hadn't been touched, which was ok. I went downstairs and asked for some water bottles and I was rudely told that I am supposed to save my bottles and go refill them 😑 In all my travels I have never been told this! Ridiculous that they cant even supply water for their guests.     We enjoyed the stay. Liked the scheduled daily activities, especially a bike trip, cooking classes, and water fitness sessions. A special thank you is for the activity guy Jorge. His attitude, enthusiasm, and friendly approach were amazing. It was also great to be able to communicate with him easily in English — he was always very helpful.The main pool was always clean, the weather was fantastic, and the location is excellent. One evening there was even a fair at the nearby marina, which created an authentic atmosphere.We also appreciated having reliable hot water in the room and a tile bathtub that keeps warmth for a long time.What could be improved:The variety of food and restaurants could be better. It would also help to have more English-speaking staff to avoid misunderstandings. The person responsible for kids’ activities should definitely speak English. Additionally, in our room the faucet was leaking.     If you love watching yachts this is it!

    This is a beautiful all inclusive resort if you love sitting along the waterway to the marina watching all the yachts go by! Or if you have a great balcony unit. But Beach resort it is not! No chairs or palapas on the sand as it is a very narrow strip bordered by a rock face on top of which sits pools, chairs etc.The whole resort is divided into 2 sections by a highway. The hotel on the upper section and the beach section on the ocean. It is quite a walk between the two! There is almost no reception for internet- not even in the business office!! We had 2 issues at home so had to remove the ‘airplane mode’ from our phone to communicate by phone. Besides those 2 issues we enjoyed our stay. Our unit with a balcony was amazing , clean and quiet. The staff are incredibly kind and accommodating. A few Spanish words go a long way! And Mexican pesos ( not US dollars) are the way to go!
