We recently returned from a very nice relaxing vacation at Vista Vallarta. We met many returning couples from Canada. Older clientele (like us lol) which was perfect. The first 3-4 days we were the only ones in the pool. Wondered where everyone was. We had a junior suite (#213) directly above the restaurant and were awoken daily to the wonderful smells coming from below. Our suite was basically an oversized hotel room with a king bed, couch, chairs, dresser, large closet with drawers, rod and safe, good sized entry with counter space and small fridge for beers and drinks, nice glass shower with tons of hot water (almost 2 hot). Staff was excellent especially Paulette and her girls at the pool, Augustine at the front desk and chef Dano. Downtown Bucerias is a twenty five minute minute walk on the parallel road and typical Mexican side streets (keep your head down). Lots to see and a good amount of activity going on every morning. Very happy that we found this little gem and we will be back next time with our family and stay in one of the 3 bedroom suites. Hosta La proxima.

Spacious rooms spoiled us

Second visit here in 8 years. The spacious rooms spoiled us - full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a living room. The first reservation was great but we wanted to stay longer so management gave us another room - this one all redone inside, white, bright, and comfortable. The pool is sparkling clean and the grounds immaculate. Every room has a view of the ocean. We can't wait to go back again.

Accomodations in W Bucerias are clean and basic. On property restaurant is pretty good, pool and spa are good. Beach is walkable but rocky. Restaurants and shopping within a mile. Balcony was nice. Mini-splits in each bedroom and living area. Service was responsive and good.

This hotel is on the beach but the review said a sandy beach and it was very rocky and hard to walk on. It is super old and in need of a major upgrade. Beds were horrible even after getting a foamy. No hairdryer and it took me 3 times asking to get one. We had to ask for a shower head as it shot water on the wall only. No face clothes, one steak knife for a sharp knife, toaster oven that didn’t work well. The fridge froze our fruits. On top of that, they wouldn’t give us their internet rate. So for 4 adults, we paid double! Go to a different place. 😎 it’s right in the 200 highway and you won’t get any sleep. Beautiful views from our room didn’t outweigh the negative parts.

Vacation from Hell!!!!!

This place was awful! I booked a room here for 7 nights and was placed in an old worn out room with most awful decor that you’ve ever seen. After complaining to the front desk, I was able to upgrade to a remodeled room for an extra $30 usd per night. The food was lousy none of the taxi drivers even knew how to get to this dump, it was like Bucerias was in another planet than The surrounding cities. The housekeeper “cleaned” our room 2 out of the 7 nights we were there and would never leave face towels even after tracking her down for doing her job. I would have to go to the front desk for towels ( which they don’t have) and tell them that our room needs towels, she would then show up 1-2 later with large towels that we already had. The bartenders and the waitresses are very nice, but kind of on the slow side. I just don’t recommend this place to anyone, unless you’re from there. I have never had a bad time in Mexico, but my experience with this place makes me not want to come back again.
