  Amazing hotel. The only issues we had were seaweed season, so the beach was unusable and our mini fridge was not always refilled.   It was time and money well spent

  My family and I(3 adults, 1 Child) stayed from May 29-June 5th at the Barcelo Beach Resort for the very first time. We arrived at Cancun Airport and drove for approximately one hour(smooth sailing) to get to the hotel. Checking in was a breeze, but we did not has access to our room because we arrived before 3 PM, however it gave us the chance to head to one of the 4 buffet restaurants to grag a bit and also make bookings for 4 speciality restaurants(we recommend doing this the day you get there as well).A little after 3pm we headed to our room. We pulled our own suitcases because there were no Bellboys available at the time. Our room choice was a superior room, with a pool view(adult only pool), two double beds, a mini fridge that was stocked with drinks daily and a washroom with a separate space for the toliet(a great feature). Overall, the room was very clean, the sheets were very white and smelled good, the furniture was modern, there is a safe and we were provided with robes and house slippers(a nice surprise). The property was also clean and very well kept, there were employees cleaning the grounds every morning. The property is very spreadout because there are 6 different hotels on it. When you stay at one of the family friendly hotels, in our case the Maya Beach, we were also able to access Caribe, Tropical and Colonial. There is also, Maya Palace that houses all of the junior suites and Maya Reviera that is adults only. Between the four locations, there is more than enoungh to eat and activities to take advanatage of.The workers at the hotel do not generally talk to you unless you say Ola. In the dining halls(buffet), service is okay, and I say okay because there were times when we were served quite quickly and times when you felt like you were invisible due to the time it took for a server to walk over. I would like to take time out to shout out, Selene, Fedelios Hernandes and Jesus at the Maya Beach Buffet. Their warm smiles and willingness to help is plausable. There was always a variety of fresh food to consume. My family is pescatarian and we had no issue finding something to eat during breakfast, lunch or dinner. There was a culturally themed dinner every night we re there, from Caribbean, to Meditarenean to Mexican. The buffet was always clean, they refilled the food when needed and they accomodated you with special request when needed as well. There is also, the strikers bar where you can watch sports in a movie theatre setting, bowl or relax and eat and drink to your hearts desire. There is also a casino, a mall, a market(local souvenirs), a pharmacy, a shuttle bus to take you to and from each hotel. The beach was okay due to the rocks you needed to get past, so we suggest bringing water shoes. There was also a lot of seaweed with made it difficult to fully enjoyed that water but we made the best of it. Overall, the experience at the Barcelo Maya Beach resort was a good bang for our buck and we would return and definitely recommend it to family and friends. Thank you for a great first impression.   Epic 50 Birthday Celebration

  My 50 birthday celebration at Barceló Maya Beach was Epic. From the moment I checked in to the day I checked out, everything was seamless and welcoming. I stayed in the Premium Level, where I had the pleasure of meeting two amazing staff members, Stephany and Marianna. They were consistently supportive, attentive, and genuinely kind throughout my stay.The level of hospitality at this resort is truly top-tier and I recommend them to all my friends and family. I have to give special recognition to Arturo Salgado and Julio Castellanos they are both managers whom exemplify excellence in customer service. Their entire management team exemplifies outstanding service. A heartfelt thank you as well to my event planner, Christian Mendoza whose dedication and attention to my details truly helped bring my birthday celebration to life.   Excellent hotel for a family vacation!

  The Barcelo resort is an excellent place for a family vacation. This was our 3rd trip to Barcelo Maya Beach and we will likely be back again. There is so much to do for kids and adults. The pools are big and clean and each one has a kids waterpark as well, although some are bigger than others. The waterpark at Maya Palace is the biggest/most activities, however parents beware if you are staying at one of the other resorts, you will be able to use the pool but not have access to food or drink. Guests of Barcelo Maya Palace have different wristbands and we were restricted from being able to order a drink. The mall in the middle is nice. The sports bar with arcade and bowling alley is a nice place to take a break from the heat for a bit or ride out a rainy day. There are go-karts as well but those are restricted to kids 7+ so we weren't able to try them out on this visit.
