Stayed 9 nights at Casa Ganesh and will surely come back! All the staff were attentive and kind, and the receptionist went above and beyond daily to ensure we had a good stay, offering excursion recommendations, making reservations on our behalf, and helping with tips and tricks to navigate Tulum and the greater Yucantan. Breakfast and lovely amenities (if needed to do work) is at the Ahau hotel, a few min walk down the road / or walk on the beach. The wellness program of the Ahau collection is also excellent, with daily yoga/breathwork/meditation offerings. Free for guests but donations to the instructors is encouraged. The only thing to flag which is important for future guests is that the hotel is in the party zone, and two of the restaurant/bar neighbors do play music very loud long into the night. Not a problem if you sleep with airplugs or if you are a heavy sleeper!

    Beautiful hotel in central location

    rating02 Jun 2026

Wow, from the entrance to the rooms and the beach this place is magical and beautifully designed! I was visiting Tulum for my friend’s bachelorette weekend but then decided to stay another extra day by myself and chose this hotel because of its central location. It’s right next door to my favorite restaurant Rosanegra and other popular restaurants and shops. Also breakfast and yoga classes included with your stay which was a pleasant surprise for me. Paula, the receptionist was super sweet and attentive to all my needs, she recommended me a lot of nice places and attractions to visit and offered to help me with the transportation back to the airport. I’m already looking forward to coming back and staying at this beautiful property again:)

Casa Ganesh, Tulum: The Insider’s Secret

    rating01 Apr 2026

If you’ve been to Tulum a few times, you know the drill: beautiful beachfront properties competing for your attention with Instagram-first aesthetics and DJ-fuelled energy. It all has its charm, the first time. For the return traveler who’s over the performative side of the strip, Casa Ganesh is exactly the antidote you didn’t know you were looking for.Tucked quietly next to RosaNegra, one of the more popular beach clubs, this small boutique hotel delivers an experience that prioritizes substance over spectacle. The rooms are generous, the beds are genuinely excellent. Warm, cozy linens, a proper duvet, and air conditioning that actually works. You’re a five-to-ten-second walk from the sand, which means you’re essentially living on the beach without the chaos that usually comes with that proximity.Breakfast is included, and it’s outstanding. Fresh fruits, perfectly prepared eggs, and the kind of warm, attentive service that sets the tone for your entire day. A special mention goes to Rosie, who takes wonderful care of guests each morning. As a guest of Casa Ganesh, you also get complimentary access to Ahau, a sister resort just a five-minute stroll down the beach, where Benjamin runs a seamless day club experience. These are the details that don’t always show up in the listing but make all the difference. The service here is what elevates it across the board. You’re greeted warmly by two lovely young women at reception who go well beyond the basics, offering honest, unbiased recommendations on where to eat, where to go out, and where to explore along the strip. No upselling, no agenda, just genuinely helpful local insight. That kind of hospitality is rare down here. Now, a practical note for anyone weighing their options: if you stay in town or further down the road, you’re looking at roughly $80 round trip by taxi every time you want to come to this part of the beach for a meal or a night out. Factor that into your cost comparison, with included breakfast and free access to Ahau’s day club on top of already competitive room rates, and Casa Ganesh starts to look like exceptional value. Because it is.For those concerned about noise from the strip, don’t be. I expected it to be an issue and it simply wasn’t. You’ll catch a faint murmur from the nearby venues until a reasonable hour, and after that it’s nothing but waves breaking just steps from your porch. If you do prefer total stillness, they have a sister property called Diamante K further down the road. This isn’t the place that’s going to flood your feed with content. It’s the place you tell your close friends about when they ask where to actually stay in Tulum. Highly recommended, from a repeat traveler.
