  We always have a great time there. The staff are amazing. They are the reason we pick this resort. Always going out of their way to make us feel at home. Can’t wait to lounge by the pool again.   Wonderful place to spend unlimited time connecting with your partner, in every good way. Consistent high quality food, alcohol, entertainment. Absolutely amazing service from every single resort employee. This is remarkable. Special thanks to Yiyi & Jorge (butlers at the villas), all the Playmakers (Candace, Bella, BamBam, Dark Chocolate), and Jenny (perfect martinis at the Kahlo bar).   I visited in April, so this review is a bit overdue, but I still wanted to recognize the incredible people who made my stay so memorable.I've traveled to many resorts, but what makes Desire Resort truly exceptional isn't just the beautiful property—it's the people. They are the reason I keep coming back year after year.What amazes me most is that so many staff members have been there for 15+ years. That speaks volumes about the culture, loyalty, and dedication at this resort. They don't just provide service; they make every guest feel like family.The bartenders are simply the best: Miguel, Celia, Gustavo, Jonathan, Augustine, Ivan, Eduardo, and Samuel. They remember me every year, often have my favorite drink ready before I ask, and make every visit feel like a reunion with old friends. Their service is impeccable, and they are professional, fun, caring, and incredibly talented. They've even taught me a few bartending tricks over the years! Their hugs, laughter, and genuine warmth make the bars one of my favorite places at the resort.The dining staff and hosts are equally amazing. Eunice, Julio, Alan , Elizabeth, Oswaldo, Roberto, Yolanda, Jose, Roger, Africa, Angel, always go above and beyond. Jose and Roger ;amazing whose warmth, attentiveness, and friendly personality never went unnoticed. Each servers kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care made every meal special.I also had a massage with Ailin, and it was phenomenal—one of the best spa experiences I've ever had. Rosie and Leeann were welcoming, knowledgeable, and always helpful.A special thank you to my butlers, Caesar and Danielle. They were wonderful throughout my stay—always accommodating, caring, attentive, and eager to help with anything I needed. Their professionalism and kindness made my vacation even more relaxing and enjoyable.Elizabeth at the front desk, my favorite girl, went out of her way to help me get a wonderful room, and her kindness was greatly appreciated.The entertainment team is hands-down the best I've ever seen at any resort. Every day they put on amazing shows and activities with endless energy, talent, and enthusiasm.Antonella, Mauricio, Candace, Leo, Bella, Bam Bam, Pina, Chiara, and of course Chocolate are simply outstanding. They always remember my name, make me laugh, and make every guest feel included. Chocolate even remembered me from another resort many years ago, which meant so much to me. Their talent, professionalism, warmth, and genuine care for people are unforgettable.The resort itself is beautiful, and while I feel the food isn't quite as good as it once was, the incredible staff more than make up for it. These people are the heart and soul of Desire Resort. They are the reason my vacation was unforgettable and the reason I will return.Thank you to every one of you for making me feel like family.   Good but its changing

  It was good but you can definitely feel the change. At first we were happy seeing Christian at front desk greeting us by names felt like family, checkin was amazing and also the bell boys , Africa and Bella and the pool bar tenders saying hi to us and recognizing us was like family. But if you are a long term visitor the vibe is a bit off… not sure what is going on but the staff seemed a bit more stressed, the crowd less open and just a more overall corporate feel to the resort. The luxury of the resort is good but it doesn’t compare to other high end resorts at the same price range, we keep being loyal because of two things: the concept and the staff. Seems like the staff is changing a lot, the older ones are either gone or feel more stressed and the new ones are just quite different. And then a lot of new people who are not briefed about the concept and expect different things, I no longer feel 100% comfortable enjoying the way I used to. I still had a great time but honestly its starting to feel a bit to like a normal resort. Hopefully management keeps the vibe as it was.   Excelente service! The hotel has great people, Christian from front desk is really helpful, he always help with a smile on his face it is always the best greet coming in.
