Newer hotel, but not worth it

It was ok for one night. It was newer than most hotels we stayed at in Yucatan, and had some nice things about it (the courtyard was lovely, the room and bathroom was spacious and the bed was enormous). However, just like everywhere else in Mexico, it seems that the same steps have been followed here too: 1.Build a nice hotel. 2.Set the price accordingly. 3.Do not do any maintenance for as long as you can, but keep charging the same 'boutique' price. It could have been a lovely place, but the signs of neglect are already visible everywhere - bedding looks like a floor wipe cloth, the bottom of the doors is chipped, the pipes in the bathroom are clogged (= sewage smell in the room), something disgusting stuck on the patio door glass from outside (bird poo? Vomit from upstairs room? Who knows). It would probably take less than 30 minutes to fix all of it, but why bother, right?

Great hotel with very nice front desk staff that spoke english. Very good price for such a nice big comfy room that was orderly and clean. Great shower and bed. safe in room was a bonus. It was quiet except we were on the top floor, and could hear staff dragging tables and chairs on the roof. Bad timing is all. A/C worked great. Small pool in the courtyard was a nice touch. Only negative was the so-so wi-fi.

Does not look like the pictures ... Tired

This hotel does not look like the pictures. The experience at this place has made me completely mistrust Expedia reviews , a suspicious amount of 10/10s. In general the hotel is very tired, stained and in poor condition, the state of the reception and the tatty basket of beach towels offered was enough to make me want to leave . When we got to the room (no lift ) stained and yellowed bed linens was the final straw. Luckily the front desk staff and manager were very helpful and arranged for us to move to another hotel that we were very happy with.(Just as well because Expedia were useless) A shame as wouldn't take too much to improve

A beautifully small boutique hotel. We loved the rooms and location. We could travel easily to the beach on the free bikes; the supermarket was literally around the corner; staff were amazing and it was only a short walk into the town. A little noisey at night as it is close to some venues which have a lot of music. All the Receptionists were amazing- so helpful.
