  This is our 7th time at excellence. We love this place! Hugo was amazing and so was William from Bazmati. The good was great!

  Another amazing trip to Excellence Riviera Cancun - I'm already planning my next one!

  Another amazing visit to an Excellence property. We have tried the D.R. as well as Excellence Riviera Cancun, Excellence Playa Mujeres, and Finest Playa Mujeres. The Mexico locations are our favorite and the people are the reason. Yes, the property is beautiful! The rooms are lovely (we book Excellence Club Swim-ups) and well-appointed and the food is good. Chez is our favorite restaurant. Get the filet. You won't regret it! We LOVE the cauliflower soup at Magna but wish they didn't change from the original recipe. Bring back the original! We were there with extended family for our daughter-in-law's 30th birthday. We had a few issues with Diamond status but Alex, the Guest Services Manager, helped us get it sorted out. Thank you, Alex!!! He was an incredible help with a number of things. Raul, a pool concierge, made every day so great - whether we were at the beach or the pool. And we so appreciated the extra care on my daughter-in-law's actual birthday. He really went above and beyond. Amable was our absolute favorite server. She is funny and fun and just simply amazing. We really enjoyed visiting with her and appreciate all she did for us. Kaleb and Mark with the entertainment team definitely kept us entertained. We made fun bracelets and played bingo or loteria every day. I don't know where they find the energy but they were amazing. A few other notables - Cristal - the chef at Agave - made us a great dinner for our first night and Bryan and Avid took great care of us. And Fernando (I believe), the food and beverage manager, was amazing with helping us with our final meal at Chez the night before we left. Thank you!!!!!Pro tip - if you are flying in during the afternoon, the town of Puerto Morelos is close and safe. We spent our first night at a hotel in Puerto Morelos and ate at La Sirena (ceviche is so good!). We wandered around the town, picked up some sunscreen at the grocery store so we didn't have to pack so much, bought some cute hats and a few souvenirs, then got a good night's sleep. We used USA Transfers (we prefer Kalido but they were booked arleady) to take us to Excellence the next morning so we arrived rested and ready for a full day.

  My first trip to Excellence Riviera Cancun was nothing short of unforgettable. As a solo traveler, I wondered whether the experience might feel awkward — but from the moment I arrived, the warmth, service, and atmosphere made me feel completely at home.Let’s start with the food. Chez Isabelle absolutely stole my heart. The filet mignon was so superb I went back a second time, and honestly, I’d go back a third. Adolfo and Fernando elevated both evenings with impeccable service — they’re the kind of team members who turn a great meal into a perfect night.Breakfast at The Kitchen Table was a daily highlight. Their omelettes alone could convert anyone into a morning person. And if you know, you know: The Flavor Market is a hidden gem that deserves way more hype.The nightly entertainment was fantastic, but Claudia Treviño was the standout. Her voice is absolutely beautiful and made the evenings feel magical.What truly sets this resort apart, though, is the customer service. A few well‑deserved shoutouts:Victoria at Magna — gracious and attentive.Ricardo from Mexican Night — full of energy and hospitality.Xochitl (“Maria”) — the cocktail class queen.Lucas — room service treats delivered with care.And the biggest shoutouts of all:Benjamin at the main pool — he remembered my favorite drinks and made sure I never went without.David Sarmiento from Guest Services — always smiling, always helpful, always patient.Isaac from Agave — incredibly kind and welcoming.Carlos at the Martini Bar — hands down the best drinks on the property.Adolfo & Fernando at Chez Isabelle — worth mentioning twice because they made both of my dinners there exceptional.Overall, Excellence Riviera Cancun lived up to its name in every way. I had an amazing time traveling solo, and I’m already planning my return. This resort has earned a repeat guest.   For such a nice resort, the management is not very helpful. I spent over $25,000 at the resort and should have been treated with more respect for the check-in management. Very disappointed.

  We just returned from another wonderful stay at Excellence Riviera Cancun, and what continues to set this resort apart is its people. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were taken care of by team members who genuinely made our trip special.A heartfelt thank you to David, Alejandro, and Fernando for their behind-the-scenes coordination — their attention to detail and ability to anticipate our needs made everything seamless.We want to recognize the standout staff who made our experience so memorable: • Fernando at Agave and Flavor Market — a wonderful server with great energy • Veronica at Oregano (Magna breakfast) — she went out of her way to prepare a special breakfast just for me, a gesture I won’t forget • Miguel and Juan C. — our Magna dinner waiters who delivered consistently excellent service • Ricardo at Flavor Market — took care of us on multiple occasions • Marco at Flavor Market — another standout from that team • Luis at the Magna bar — a genuine artist behind the bar. Every single day he surprised and delighted us with creative, beautifully crafted drinks we’d never had before. He never repeated himself, always pushed the envelope, and made stopping by Magna one of the rituals we looked forward to most each day • Marco (bartender) — another true craftsman. He led a private, customized cocktail tasting for us that was absolutely out of this world. Creative, knowledgeable, and engaging from start to finish — a highlight of the entire trip • Mario at the Club pool bar — set up our space every day and made us feel welcome • Edwin and Amable at the Club pool — provided incredible service throughout our stay, with Amable especially going above and beyond to take care of us like family • Leslie at the spa — inc incredibly helpful in coordinating all of our spa appointments and making the booking process effortless • Ivan, massage therapist — hands down the best masseuse at the resort.
