    Sahara Hotel - A gret place to stay!

    We spent January and February, 2025, at the Sahara Hotel in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. We had a wonderful time and the staff treated us like family. The location of the hotel is perfect - near numerous great restaurants, two blocks from 5th Avenue and three blocks from the beach. It has a great pool area on the roof. We highly recommend this place for your vacation or business travel!

    I stayed two nights on February 15, 2025 and we were served by a 𝙲𝚘𝚗𝚌𝚒𝚎𝚛𝚐𝚎 in the afternoon until I had to contact him. again in the morning to change rooms. This time it was a very despotic, rude and careless-looking lady who assisted me at reception. He handed me the key and said, “I don't have time to wait for you until you're ready,” and he threw it at me. I mentioned the situation to her supervisor, apparently she agrees with this mistreatment of clients, she didn't say anything at all, the girl before I left the hotel yelled at me "I'll take your photo" in front of her supervisor, terrible service. 🚩🚩🚩🚩 If you want to be treated the same on your vacation... it is the ideal place Sahara experience, Propietario at Sahara Hotel, responded to this review We are very sorry for the experience you had during your stay.     HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE FROM START TO FINISH

    Terrible experience to say the least. First of all the ac wasn’t working in two of our rooms and they wouldn’t give us another room or attempt to fix it. Now the bed sheets were stained and dirty with a very outdated room with a hard mattress. The restrooms looked as if they’ve never cleaned them toilet seat was yellow mirrors were dirty, shower floors were dirty and worst part was the shower head had green/black mold on it. We didn’t last more than a couple hours there due to how unbearable it was. Then to make it worse the lady at the front desk took us saying we wanted to leave and get a refund personal and didn’t want to speak with us no more. Very unprofessional place HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!

    Not great, not absolutely horrific, there is definitly better places to stay in playa. Especially for that price.We got "upgraded" to another room in the building next door, not really sure it was an upgrade.My room was filthy. The sheets appared to be washed, but not enough to get the stains off. We had 3 rooms, in one of the rooms, the fan was not working. Had to help it by hand to get the fan to start spinning. When the fan finnaly was spinning, it sounded like a tortured cat, so we had to turn it off. The controller for the aircontiontion was also not working in one room, had to take the batteries in and out of the controller to make it work. Could have booked a super nice hotel for only 30$ extra, but i didnt think a 3 star hotel would be this bad. Nice and friendly staff, but horrible maintanace and cleaning. Also, we booked with breakfast, but they insisted we booked without breakfast. Did not care to argue with them at the time.

    It has nothing to do with the photos, the rooms have very bad smells, they are too dark so that you can not see their dirt and you have the feeling that you are entering a grave. In short, they are not for people but for animals, and I say that who I have been to countless hotels and this is the first time I have written such bad reviews about accommodation. I did not stay there for ten minutes, I was charged for my stay and went to another hotel.
