    This hotel is NOT it

    rating27 Jun 2025

Trust me when I say that this is not somewhere you want to stay. There were so many bad things about this accommodation that we just had to laugh about it, otherwise we would cry. The day staff was helpful when we first arrived and neither the fan nor AC nor TV worked in our room. She tried to help, but was not successful in fixing the problem. We stuck out the lack of AC in the extreme heat for 2 nights as there were no alternative rooms apparently, but we got no sleep because the room was stifling, plus no one in this hotel respects quiet hours and will happily be having loud conversations in the hallway for long periods of time in the middle of the night. To get a room change, we had to really fight and not take no for an answer from the night staff who seemed to be unwilling to help in any situation because it might make her actually lift a finger and do her job. Once we did get moved to a room on the same level as reception, we did finally have AC, but every night this lady was either talking loudly on the phone to her mates, or had friends at the front desk talking and laughing loudly from midnight to early hours of the morning. To then make this experience even more “exciting”, the water went out for over 48hrs, the pool was a damn murky and dirty disgrace, the “breakfast provided” was literally sliced apple with maple syrup and a sprinkle of granola every day, and both rooms we had plus our friends in another room all had little bits of blood on the bedsheets. Just do not stay here. They must have gotten family and friends to do any favourable reviews because this hotel is NOT it.

    Poor cleanliness and health concerns

    rating12 Jan 2025

Worst hotel I have stayed in Mexico. The other travelers that posted bugs and mold everywhere were accurate. Sure the price is low but a hostel would have been cleaner and more sanitary than here. If you value your health, don't stay here! I wanted to cancel when I saw the state of the room but Expedia would not let me and I was forced to stay here. Would otherwise have lost my all of my money on this reservation. The hotel and Expedia would not offer any other hotels or rooms. Overall, a very bad experience.

Practically no breakfast and no advertised restaurant

    rating29 Dec 2024

The descriptions say that breakfast is included and there is a restaurant. There is no restaurant and the breakfast consisted of only a coffee pot, white bread, a toaster and some apples (which travelers should not eat since we should only eat fruit we can peal). The breakfast closes at 10 am and one morning I showed up at 9:55 and they tried to tell me breakfast was over. The location is safe enough neighborhood and it is about a 15 minute walk to get to the more touristy area of PDC. The bed was comfortable but only one bath towel and one hand towel (there was two of us). When I asked for additional towels, they said I had to come back because they were all in the wash.I would not stay there again.

    Nice little hotel

    rating17 Mar 2023

+ Nice location, at the north end of the 5th.+ Walking distance to conviences stores (yes, they are all over the place)+ Eat with locals on the 30th (El cheapo) or dine on the 5th.- This hotel is on a residential street, you might hear some barking at some times.+ 10 minute walk to Punta Esmeralda public beach (Nice beach )+ Breakfast at hotel available 'til late in the afternoon*** I would probably return there if I had similar needs ***

    STAY AWAY

    rating10 Apr 2022

We booked this place on Expedia based on the price and pictures. From the photos, looked like a nice little place on the outskirts of town. We’re one night in and oh boy were we wrong. Where to start:The room: Looked nothing like the photos. Bathroom was dirty and shower doesn’t drain. There is limited hot water, so showers were not enjoyable. No safe to keep your valuables or hangers for your clothes. The service: Staff have been very dismissive. Ask for extra towels, told no. Ask for another key, told no again. Ask if there’s anywhere we can keep our valuables, nope. Noise: The noise from the house parties across the street kept us up all night. Not to mention there are barking dogs 24/7. SCAMS: While the things above were annoyances, this is what really threw things over the edge. I asked the lady at the counter how much it would be to rent a bike, she quoted me 50 pesos. After she let us “try” the bikes, I was told 200 pesos! While I was okay with paying that price, the dishonestly was what really disappointed us the most. Not to mention the bikes were in very poor condition. This includes rusting bike parts, a bike bell that doesn’t work and seats that’s don’t adjust, which all adds up to being very unsafe riding through the streets of Mexico. The dishonestly of the staff combined with the fact that there’s nowhere to keep our valuables really made us question if we could trust the staff. When it comes to our stay here, it ended up being a combination things that really added up. We wanted to like the place and tried hard to give it chance, but the dismissive service and dishonesty from the staff left a bad taste in our mouths. We will be searching for another place to stay for the rest our vacation and would recommend you also look elsewhere.
