    Adorable and convenient

Stayed here a couple nights before heading to the Wyndham. Conveniently located to write downtown Walmart and the weekend plaza with local goods. I would definitely stay here again.

    Not boutique, needs maitenance asap

    rating26 Feb 2026

This hotel was not great by any means. The room smelled bad, there were no normal pillows (have a look at the one I took a picture of) or duvet, everything was old, worn out and/or broken, including a broken shower door and clogged pipes, that made the washroom smell like sewage. The chairs by the pool were dirty, we had to put extra towel on them and be careful not to touch anything. They don't really bother doing any maintenance in hotels here, we've noticed, but don't hesitate charging the guests for 'boutique' services, when in reality it's not even close, more like the exact opposite. Also, don't bother with the breakfast, it's awful. You can get much nicer food anywhere else in the area.Half of this hotel faces a busy municipal square, which often has concerts, markets etc, that go on way past midnight, so be aware if you value your rest. There is no sound insulation at all, so you'll hear everything and will only fall asleep when the last person leaves the market.

    Affordable,clean good location

    rating04 Feb 2026

There are 3 pools, no hot tub anymoreRoof top accessed by 1 stair case off the main lobby, 7 sets to get there no elevator but worth it. All pools were clean not heatedAreas were average in cleanliness Roof top day beds were not near the pool and we're worn and sun wrecked but served purpose. Loungers near the pool and we're in the same condition I couldn't find 1 not stained. No shade on the roof deck Breakfast was good, all hotel staff were friendly. Our room was tiny but clean, had a fridge, safe, balcony with seating, AC with remote, TV-Wifi was really goodLa Passion is showing its age and neglect but its still holds value with its cleanliness, free breakfast, location, quiet sitting areas throughout the hotel and pools would make me consider staying again

Charming Hotel with Great Location, but Room for Improvement

    rating26 Jan 2025

The hotel offers a charming colonial atmosphere with thoughtful touches. It’s important to note that it’s not a 5-star all-inclusive resort, so manage your expectations accordingly. The location is fantastic—right in front of the lively Plaza 28 de Julio, surrounded by great spots for authentic Mexican food. It’s just a short walk to 5th Avenue, with small supermarkets nearby and Walmart and Aki a 10-minute walk away. The ADO bus station is just meters away, making it super convenient. There are three lovely swimming pools, and I’m not sure why some reviews complain about them—they’re great, just remember this isn’t a resort. The downside is the breakfast: it’s repetitive (some variety in the fruits would be great—bananas and mangos are abundant locally!) and the staff could be more organized, as mistakes and forgotten items seem common.Despite this, the overall experience was enjoyable, and I’d recommend it for its charm and excellent location.

Worst hotel I ever stayed at

    rating14 Jan 2025

There is a fine line between Boutique and shabby and this hotel crossed that line a long time ago. How anyone could rate this hotel as an 8.6 is beyond me. It is a 2.6 at best. The elevators are out of order and appear to have been for a long time. This is a hotel that is four stories tall with a "rooftop" pool that you have to walk up four flights of steep and narrow steps to get to. Not to mention dragging your luggage up.We pre-paid for an entire week and left after only one day. It was terrible. Everything is old and run down, which is probably why they took most of their pictures at night and which appear 10 years old. The two pools on the ground floor are essentially unusable. Not heated, ice cold, no where to sit by one and the other one is just a square box in the ground that has no stairs. It feels more like a tank than a pool. Jacuzzi is broken.Bathrooms have towels that are one step above rags and nowhere in the shower to even set a bar of soap. Asked for extra towels and were told that with our rate we couldn't have any. Mold on the ceiling. Sign that says put all your used, gross toilet paper in the only wastebasket in the entire room. A safe that you could not get into except during scheduled hours that the front desk had to come open. Choice of no curtains (everyone across the way could see in) or total blackout curtains which made the room feel like a cave. And we paid for a "Deluxe" room. Don't be fooled by the price. The place is a dump!
