  Tv did not work, one night, there was no cold or hot water….could not even take a shower, room has no light, and a bathtub on a balcony that everyone can see, the elevator broke an entire day. There are no towels in the room.

  Mention a negative thing and Senses Quinta Avenida by Artisan got it….I started in a room with a balcony with no view. There were Walls to two of the sides and a covering of Wood to the last side so absolute not a place that is Nice to be. Furthermore the room were very Dark due to the Walls at the balcony.The linen at the bed and the Towers were dingy.There were 3 hangers - not many for a woman. There were no safe - was installed after 2 days.There was no hot water for 2 days.After 2 days the hotel offered me to change my room to a brighter room with a balcony with a view over the street. As a compensation they offered me a tour of my own choice. Unfortunately they did not keep this promise and I never get the tour.The Aircondition function occasionally. The water shall sometimes run for 5-10 minuts before it gets hot.I was accused of smearing the sheets with some red stuff which I never have done. I put one of the sheets at the floor because I wanted it to be changed but notdue to some red stuff.At 28th of February when I came back from the Beach there were no electricity and no water. It took more than two hours before it came back. To days later problem with the hot water again.The elevator has been out of order a couple of times.There is only one employee at the hotel that speak English and he is not working allways.I would give this hotel 1* on a good day 2* but never a 4* hotel.If you want a good and relaxing vacation you shall choose another hotel.I have had my absolutely worst vacation this 2 weeks in Playa del Carmen

  Hotel Senses... 10 for effort and then 0 for execution. Situated in the city centre, right on Fifth Avenue, brace yourself for potential nighttime noise.**Aesthetic:**The hotel, boasting curved walls, ceilings, and captivating lighting effects, lives up to its Artisan-themed name, creating a visually appealing facade. Unfortunately, aesthetics are where the positive aspects come to a halt.**Functionality:**- **Lighting Woes:** Bathroom lighting is too low, hindering proper mirror visibility.- **Messy Sink:** The spoon-shaped sink design leads to water splashing everywhere.- **Shower Troubles:** Our room featured a broken shower, an unsteady hand shower holder, and a malfunctioning switch between the shower handle and top shower, resulting in an unpleasant water-spraying experience. The door didn't trap water. Toothbrush glass was missing in our room.**Service:**- Reception staff, incredibly kind, appear left to fend for themselves without proper tools.- Requested a hair-dryer, initially denied, but provided in 10 minutes after a bit of a frowned.- Had to ask for water to clean our teeth from the second day onward. Coffee pods provided only for the first 2 days; none afterward.- Netflix stopped working on day 2; on day 3, the entire TV refused to respond to the remote control.- No warm water on the last day so my husband imbraced the cold shower, I had to wait the morning after.**Wi-Fi Woes:**Despite assurances of Wi-Fi repairs on our floor, it was never restored. Wi-Fi strangely non-functional on the third floor, yet there is a router that works perfectly on the rooftop where the pool is. One evening, my husband went upstairs to use the internet, and the security guy locked the door and turned off the lights without checking if anyone was there. Luckily, I was making the luggage and could go upstairs to open the door for him.**Cleanliness:**- Bed sheets stained upon arrival, never changed during our 4-day stay.- Beds made poorly with a very light sheet covering the mattress (no mattress cover), topped with a blanket and then the bed sheet. We all know that blankets aren't washed as much as sheets so why should I sleep in the sweeting sleeping bag of all thr costumers before me. - Room blinds autonomously opening or closing even in the middle if the night, causing nighttime disturbance.- Beach towels promised but never seen; thry gave us the bath towels, one provided had a significant hole, making it awkward to use.**Hits and Misses:**- **Hits:** Enjoyed the complimentary bike rental.- **Misses:** Unpleasant experience at the empty beach club, emitting a sewage smell. It might be just an unlucky day, but then they should ask for full payment of 500 pesos per person when it dies not stink bad. **Overall Impression:**While the hotel has charm and positive aspects, such as complimentary bike rentals and an initially appealing aesthetic, numerous issues, from malfunctioning amenities to cleanliness concerns, tainted our stay. The price doesn't justify the inconveniences. I would not recommend or return, as too many things did not work, making our holiday a bit unpleasant. Hopefully, when renovations are complete, these issues will be resolved, but it's wise to inquire before booking.

  Great location bang smack in the middle of a vibrant street,noisy bars but complete privacy at rooftop pool

  We had a relaxing fortnight at this quirky hotel, we had a rooftop pool all to ourselves and the staff were so helpful and friendly ..it can get noisy at night but that didn’t bother us A big shout out to Omar who speaks perfect English and saved us an absolute fortune by recommending local restaurants off the main drag, he couldn’t do enough for us and was always smiling . Thankyou Omar for making our holiday unforgettable, hopefully your bosses will see that you practically run that hotel and need a promotion👏🏼👏🏼

  Excellent staff, caring at all times and proactively attentive. They offer to keep our bags after our stay and gave various suggestions about great local spots, from restaurants to bars. Be aware that any hotel on the 5th avenue is going to be noisy.
