Facility

    Another great visit to a special place. We try to visit every year, and continually have a wonderful experience. We love the peace and relaxation, the delicious food the cantina provides, and the fabulous staff that is so accommodating. Always an enjoyable time, always look forward to the next visit. Can't wait until we return to our zen tent in the jungle.

    Impossible to sleep — nightclub and highway noise nonstop.. this place has nothing to do with 5 star hotel, it’s a scam.I booked 3 nights here directly through their website because it looked like a peaceful, luxury eco-glamping experience. Unfortunately, it was nothing like what was advertised.When we arrived late at night, we were shocked by how loud it was. A nightclub right next door was blasting music with such heavy bass that the tent was literally vibrating and we could feel it in our bodies. The music continued well past 1:00 AM, making it impossible to sleep. On top of that, there was constant highway noise on the other side, so it felt like we were stuck between a club and a freeway — the opposite of a quiet nature escape.There were even earplugs already placed in the room, which proves the hotel knows about the extreme noise but doesn’t disclose this issue when you book.Because the conditions were not livable, we checked out the next morning and asked for a refund for the 2 nights we didn’t stay. They refused to refund us anything. We paid for a calm and relaxing environment and instead experienced a sleepless, stressful night.If you expect to rest or sleep on your vacation, stay away from this place.

    The photos were decieving. It shows that its nice and clean, but once you get there it’s the opposite. The whole place is dirty as if living in a garbage dump. The walls that seperate the rooms to the outside is made of tinfoil and plastic. The photos make it seem like you have beach side view but thats wrong. You still have to walk about half a mile to get there. And when you do, it is very filthy and packed, it is not a private beach, anyone can come in and use the same beach. There is no private parking, and the parking lot is just a terrain with holes everywhere. We could not stay there, it did not feel safe for me and my family. We tried getting our money back but they refused. Do NOT stay here.

    Greatest Relaxation

    It's always so nice to return here and see old friends. We love the ambiance, the food, the peacefulness & of course the serenity. Always have a relaxing time. The beach and club are close enough, and the short walk down the road isn't bad at all. The reviews that are negative in concern with children and noise of neighbors, etc., are a matter of getting what you get any given time. We've been fortunate enough to always be there in optimum circumstances...weather, insects, people...whatever.It also has to do with bringing your own positivity. We always enjoy ourselves, the wonderful staff and the beautiful property. Looking forward to our yearly visit.Hasta luego amigos !

    2 Star Hotel at 5 Star Price

    simply can not understand for the life of me how this place gets any good reviews. I have never in my life been so utterly mis-lead by photos as this. The experience you see on their website is clever photography at best and is no way based on reality. Think you are getting an idyllic setting near a gorgeous beach, with a beautiful beach club attached? Think again. You're staying on a run down site, set back a good 10 min walk from a beach, with absolutely no nice views. Want a peaceful nights sleep? Try enjoying that with banging music from a bar down the road. The site feels dated, 2* accomodation at best. Don't think you'll be enjoying breakfast at the beach club - there's an onsite restaurant which is TERRIBLE. Dinner was so poor - completely overpriced (they must do this as you have no other options), slow, and awful service. Some food just didn't come, the rest took over an hour. The playlist (which was on repeat the following morning) is fine if you want to listen to 80's power ballads. Breakfast was abysmal - no greeting - coffee which is frankly undrinkable, very average food available. Absolutely nowhere to fill up water on site, no complimentary water in your room on arrival, just water available in plastic bottles (on an eco site) at 4USD a go. Tents are slightly mouldy, and the area around our tent had litter. The bath was filthy. There was a hammock in the photos but that was nowhere to be seen. It says on the site you'll get a 10% discount at the beach club, well that's a lie, we asked for this and they said no. And on the beach club, again, way worse than the photos. None of those fancy parasols you see on the site - not enough beds, bang average food, crap music. And closes at 5.30pm! So you're then stuck in the awful onsite restaurant for the evening. We left 2 nights in to a 4 night stay it was that bad. Had to fork out for alternative accomodation down the road in Tulum which was much nicer. We raised all of these points with management, who quite frankly don't seem to care, and have certainly not compensated us at all.Avoid at all costs.
