  The Fives, Impessive hotel in the middle ot¡f a maglar tropical jungle with access to the beach

  We stayed in April for a week stay at The Fives from Spain.Our experience is the following:Facilities: Beautifully designed and very well maintained, and you can walk thru it. There are 21 different villas surrounded by pools, bars and restaurants, with a manglar tropical jungle in the middle, so the sort feels like a tropical jungle. The wildlife is a highlight, especially the spider monkies, the nice coatis, turtles, iguanas and many more, all of them roam the resort, but don´t make you feel uncomfortable. Pools and beach were stunning and very clean.Restaurants: impressive, Breakfast buffet at the Flavors was wide and lively, you can find any thing you can imagine for breakfast. Starting the day having breakfast in the middle of the jungle is a plus. but If you want a quieter breakfast La Brasserie is your option, you have the same selection of food and outdoor seating. Lunch was excellent everywhere, every pool has its own lunch restaurant, with Natura as a remarkable healthy option, Muelle Ocho as a Caribbean option at the beach; also tacos and burgers can be found at the pool beach.For dinner there are more than 8 excellent options. The French and the Japanese were our favorite, but you have also Italian, Mexican Thai and more. The quality ot the service and food in all of them was excellent.The also have Flavors, a top-class restaurant reserved for special guests. The service and quality of the food is even better.Bars: Excellent. Wide variety of cocktails, beers, smoothies and juices are available, they do not have a cocktail menu but do not hesitate to ask the bar tenders, they will impress and surprise you with many options. Our Bar in the beach pool was our favorite.Rooms: Our room was a big suite in villa 20, located near a only adults pool, bar and restaurant, It is very comfortable, clean and well furnished. It has a king bed with 4 top quality pillows.Staff: From my point of view the strength of the resort, really outstanding. All of them no matter if they are the gardeners, cleaners, drivers or bar and restaurant staff, the service was some of the best we’ve experienced. Everyone was friendly and welcoming You can feel the happiness on how they do their tasks. I would like to mention Sonia at the beach beds, and Giovanni and Eadename all over the resort, always ready and help you with a plan, a reservation, etc.Membership: I recommend you to become “Epic Traveler”, it makes a difference at the resort.Overall: A wonderful stay, the best of our lives so far, we will return.

  What a taste of paradise

  Managed to have a wonderful trip to this resort in January and must say it was an absolute paradise. The resort was huge with beautiful jungle surroundings whilst the food was fantastic all through. There are many choices to eat with a beautiful Thai and Italian in the evening along with burgers and pizza at the best during the day. The entertainment was fantastic in particular the activities around the pool with the wonderful Angel. We have movie and music quizzes along with a great session of aqua aerobics which will get your heart pumping in the morning. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for anyone with families and small children as the staff are so friendly and helpful. Thank you to the Fives Beach team for suck a magnificent stay

  A wonderful special birthday

  It was a big birthday and we were upgraded to a beautiful one bedroom suite.We were in adults only block 20 by the adult pool and a poolside restaurant. Perfect!The site is quite large but has wonderful well lit interconnecting walkways. Buggy’s to take you from beachfront to reception are available on request. Food, drink and hospitality was top notch. You can’t book restaurants in advance but that didn’t cause a problem. Entertainment was at The Plaza, very central and enjoyable. The hotel caters well for a wide age range. The only thing that would have been useful was a courtesy bus from the hotel to Playa del Carmen 5th Avenue (shopping) well worth a trip but £20/ 400 peso each way. We did 2 excursions to Chichen Itza and Tulum, the second day was our favourite, we swam in a Cenote and then with sea turtles which was magical. An unforgettable birthday week.

  Amazing resort! Love the vibe! Love the restaurants and love the entertainment! The staff are the best that I’ve ever had. Special mention for Kristoff who was there anytime we needed anything. Dani was also fantastic. Diana was very thoughtful and kind. Bernabe the Bali bed man was super fantastic and helped with every thing we needed at the beach!
