The harbour provides the starting and finishing point for Formula 1 races in Monte Carlo. The main train station lies directly behind the hotel, whilst direct bus connections with Nice Airport and other areas of Monaco depart from just outside the hotel.

I see reviews about lack of hot water - this was not the case during my stay.My room was facing the street, but I wasn't bothered by any noise. I have no complaints about the room or the bed and there was nice and clean.Perfect placement in the city.Extremely helpful staff.

Madjid saved our winter break

We had a terrible experience at hôtel Ambassador Monaco.No hot water ,No heating ,disgusting smell all over the hotel and rooms ,terrible breakfast with very low quality products,cockroaches running in the restaurant,staff who don’t understand English with no knowledge of Monaco,weird and scary night receptionists,We could not believe that this was happening in Monaco.It was like a Halloween studio set every day.Thanks god Madjid the receptionist saved our winter break by assisting us by booking a hotel in Nice ,booking a restaurant,taxis ,touristic advices in Monaco and Nice.Very good and professional service from Madjid.He deserves better than Hotel Ambassador.

Dishonest and many problems

We booked a short stay at hotel Ambassador in October . Noisy room, smelly hotel, no hot water, TV did not work, terrible breakfast, staff who barely speak English with no knowledge of Monaco or France, a morning young receptionist man who only respond "That's how things are here" when we reported to him our problems, and sleepy night receptionists who are not interested in hearing our concerns The most outrageous is that we had money missing from my handbag left on the bed. When we got back to our room, my bag was left wide open as if someone looked inside it. At check in they try to overcharge us when the city tax was clearly stated as 3€, but the girl receptionist overcharged us, then the restaurant tried to overcharge us 2 extra drinks, then the sleepy night receptionist tried to overcharge us mini bar drinks at chech out. It 's only when my husband asked 10mn later while waiting for our taxi for a bill that the night receptionist told us that he did a mistake and gave us our 5 € change back. Desonhest from start to finish. We could not believe that this was happening in Monaco,

Our first review on TripAdvisor. We stayed at hotel Ambassador Monaco at the end of July and our experience was just very disappointing.First of all the lack of professionalism from the front desk staff is just appalling, I mean how can you have a hotel staff who just can not speak ENGLISH in a hotel in a place like Monaco?The 2 night staff just don't have the appearance nor the professional attitude nor the ability to speak English. I don't mean to be rude, I am sorry but they both looked like homeless people.The morning staff was so shy that she could not even talk, she just smiled without understanding our question in English. The afternoon staff was cold and distant A big issue in staffing, the front desk staff looked like they did not want to be there. No interactions with the guests whatsoever.The breakfast just terrible, just run away to Starbucks opposite the hotel. Dinner at their restaurant consisted of spongy pasta.Finishing on a positive note, the location of the hotel was great, Shame that the staff is not suited for Monaco or just any hotel.
