    Highly recommend!

    rating13 Jun 2026

We stayed from 1st-12th June and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great wide variety of food across each meal (which is good considering my partner is extremely fussy). Hotel is quite tucked away but taxis can be ordered through reception and will wait for you the entire day saving you having to get into another taxi. Lots of choices for excursions we done the quad biking, sand boarding and hot air balloon all of which I would say is a must! Great hotel for pure relaxation, although the hotel is huge it never felt overcrowded with 6 pools and a beach plenty of choice for beds. No need to get up at 6am and reserve!! We would go down at 10am after breakfast and still plenty of choice. Staff were so friendly and attentive, rooms and hotel itself was kept to a high standard of cleanliness. Highly recommend if you are planning a trip to Morocco.

A very relaxing week at a great hotel.

    rating12 Jun 2026

The staff were all very helpful and friendly especially the receptionist who changed our room after the first night as we didn't like being on the ground floor. All areas exceptionally clean and well maintained. Food excellent and we managed to get into all 3 a la carte restaurants, although it was a bit of a struggle as you have to do it on the app. So my advice is book immediately on arrival or you may not get in, limited spaces in all of them and they book up pretty quick.

    Enjoyable stay!

    rating12 Jun 2026

Stayed here for 10 nights. I don’t understand the criticism and bad reviews this hotel has received. Yes, it is not perfect but we both had a very good time here and the hotel was amazing. We would 100% come back.Hotel - The hotel grounds were enormous and the hotel itself was so nice! I couldn’t fault it. I guess if you really wanted to micro-critique it you could find faults but that’s just picky. There were countless gardeners working around the clock dotted around the grounds up keeping the gardens. The reception area was huge. The hotel was so picturesque, particularly the jungle bar and the view down to the pool area. There were a lot of stray cats in the hotel grounds but they were really no bother. We quite like the fact there were cats roaming around but that’s because we’re both animal lovers. People made out the hotel was riddled with them everywhere, but this was not the case. No dogs in the hotel grounds.Pool area - We found the pool area to be really clean and staff regularly walked around to collect empty glasses/cups. The pools were not the warmest but you acclimatised to it quickly. The occasional sun bed was a bit worn out, same goes for the umbrellas but the staff were more than happy to change them out if asked. Plenty of sun beds to go around however we found most were reserved by 9:30am. The nicer sunbeds underneath the covers were always ‘reserved’ way before. If you wanted a quieter day I’d say go to the adults only pool. Only downside there’s no bar nearby- unless someone could prove me wrongRoom - We asked for a top floor room due to the mention of cockroaches. We stayed in the block at the far corner of the hotel near to the adults infinity pool. We didn’t have one cockroach in our room. The rooms were enormous and immaculate and the cleaners were great! The fridges were always fully stocked Staff - The entire team of staff we came across were all excellent and I couldn’t not fault them. In particular, the entertainment team were very good. They encouraged people to get involved in activities and were all polite. We spent a lot of time in the Jungle bar and the staff there couldn’t do enough for us. They were so good and were continuously checking in on us and asking if we wanted any more drinks / bar snacks. One male member of staff in particular was exceptional and I forgot to get his name. He regularly asked if we wanted the usual ‘disaranno&coke and coffee’. We gave him the remainder of our Dirham on the last day too along with tipping throughout. We tipped a lot of the staff too but equally felt like we didn’t have to. The staff in the restaurants were all great too and the service was faultless.Restaurants- We noticed before we came the complaints in the restaurants, being plates on tables not taken away. We didn’t see this. The staff were quick to clear tables and offer drinks at the table. I found the food to be a bit repetitive sometimes but the overall quality I say was good! They had a speciality meat too each night and this was delicious. The speciality restaurants were all so good too!Beach - Didn’t really explore the area much other that the volleyball court. It was however all cordoned off, making it private and it seemed nice and clean. There were a few stray dogs roaming around the beach but again, they were no bother.Weather - just a heads up for those questioning the weather out here. We stayed in June and I would say 5/10 days, the sea mist did not fade away until around 2pm, something I was not aware of.

    Filthy, avoid this hotel !

    rating10 Jun 2026

At first the hotel looks aesthetically pleasing until you look closer ! We arrived to our room where we found the patio door didn’t lock, we phoned reception twice to arrange maintenance to come sort it which we waited for over an hour till someone arrived whilst wanting to go for dinner. The shower was absolutely filthy, covered in mould and the toilet area smelt of drainage issues !! The pool areas looked amazing at first till you notice the sun loungers were covered in bird poo and many of them had rips down the sides. There was left over plates with food and cups stuffed in the flower beds/shrubs around the loungers which had been left from previous days. The food was awful and not labelled, many things covered in flies - dead and alive !! My partner became very sick on day 3 which we believe was down to food poisoning, he was stuck in the room for three days living off the bottled water which we asked for the mini bar to be stocked up with. That took the two days to wait for someone to turn up to re fill it after multiple calls to reception and use of the Rui app. When making requests on the app, requests are ignored and closed out by the staff stating requests are competed even when requests are completely ignored! By this point we had had enough and booked flights to come home 5 days early!! Extremely disappointed after staying at many Rui hotels previously with no issues. rating09 Jun 2026

I love you riu palaceDear riu palace, Omg how unreal! We are honestly so sad to leave. Absolutely amazing experience. The resort is stunning, the rooms are lovely and spacious, cleaners come every single day, the air con is great. The entertainment is great, during the day and night. 7 pools plenty of room and they’re lovely when the sun hits! Plenty of sun beds and music on during the day!The food is lovely, i’d say lots of variety everyday. Fresh, hot and tasty. The main thing that blew us away was the service, never have I ever met a group of friendlier people. Honestly, every single staff member we crossed paths with would genuinely go above and beyond for you, everyone is so funny and down to earth too. Shout out to Hassan the bar man, he was AMAZING made our stay even greater. What a lovely man. And Radar too, thank you for looking after us.Feeling emotional writing this could be the prosecco but we are so gutted to leave. 10/10 RIU WE WILL SEE YOU SOON!
